Mortal Kombat Another Story

Where are you taking me Luel? Madoko asked fretfully.
Just a little bit further, dont you want to see Kanako?? Shes part of the committee, I saw her here, at Shang Tsungs Palace! I think we can rescue her!
Luel......I know we are strong, but if Kanako cant best Shang Tsung, how can we?
Trust me, three against one. Kanako......is special to me. Isnt she special to you too?
Luel I know you like her, but still. Madoko felt torn. Luel cared for Kanako, but she didnt think Kanako cared about Luel.
Its not fair, I want Luel for myself. I dont want Kanako taking Luel from me. But I dont want to steal Luel, if it makes Luel happy, Ill help him get Kanako back, and help Kanako and him get together. I just want to see Luel happy. If hes happy I can be happy too. Madoko thought.
Well sneak in the back. Ive seen Kanako look out the window up there sometimes. Luel interrupted Madokos thoughts.
Ok. I hope things turn out great for you and Kanako. Madoko smiled.
Whos there? Shang Tsung asked.
Hello, I am Luel. This is Madoko. We are from Kanakos school. I happened to hear rumors she was with you, sir. Luel said bravely.
I see. But Kanako is happy here with me.
Lies! Kanako cant possibly be happy with a person like you. Kanako is a good person. She helps the people at school she protects us from people like you. Madoko told him.
Is that so? Do you really believe that? Kanako appeared next to Shang Tsung.
Kanako!!!! Im so glad to see you! Luel exclaimed.
Hmm. But its only one sided. Kanako stared blankly at Luel, as if looking through him.
Kanako? Madoko looked her.
I am not pleased to see you all. I almost feel regret seeing you two here. Kanakos pretty mouth curled up into a sneer.
Wha? Why? Madoko looked like she was going to cry.
I really never hated you two. But now that you are here, why should I say goodbye to a perfectly good soul?
You wouldnt!!!! You wouldnt leave us for him to devour! I thought we were friends......allies! Luel exclaimed.
Just because we are on the same committee? Dont make me laugh, Luel. Im different from you all. I didnt join because I cared about anyone at the school. I joined, because, well it gave me an excuse to fight. I thrive to fight and it makes me feel good.
Watching the fools I defeat, oh if only I could destroy them. But now I can. With Shang Tsung here, I can kill off whomever I wish. Ill start with you two.
Madoko, you have that perfect soul I am after. The pure and innocent girl. You will make me live and sustain my beauty forever. Kanako snapped her fingers and Luel became bound.
Like it, Luel? Struggle all you want, that is pleasing to the eye. Kanako sprang on Madoko.
Such power, I havent had someone as innocent as you in quite a while. Its so hard to find sweetness and innocence like you. Ill enjoy this one.
Kanako gripped her naginata. She dished out a series of attacks on Madoko. Madoko tried to fight back, but Kanako clearly had the upper hand.
Silently, Kanako leapt into the air, rested her legs on Madokos head and snapped her neck with her thighs. Crimson blood dripped down Madokos neck. Kanako smiled at the sight.
She then pulled out a teacup out of her pocket. Carefully and dramatically, she held the teacup to catch the dripping blood. She then drank the blood in a traditional tea ceremony like way.
She turned to the body of Madoko. She looked at it, and raised her hand. A bright light shined and a floated above Kanako, entering her body. Kanako claimed Madokos essence as her own.
Luel watched in horror as he witnessed Madokos body become decayed and skeletal right before his very eyes.
How can you do that to Madoko? She was your friend.
Dont misunderstand, I didnt want any parts of you two, you guys just seemed to always tag along behind me. I prefer to be alone. But just recently I met Shang Tsung, and I wont be alone ever again.
Please let me go. Ill promise, I wont tell a soul.
You wont be telling anyone, not even a fish. I leave your fate up to Shang Tsung. If your soul is to his liking, hell take it. If not, well, there are fates much worse than death. Kanako took the end of her naginata and drew a thin line of blood on Luels arm.
Luel cried out in pain and Kanako just watched him try not to cry out in pain.
Shang Tsung shook his head.
Hes not my type. His soul isnt compatible. Do what you like with him.
Hm, I wonder what I should do with him, he would be fun to torment, isnt that right my beloved?
Torment him to your hearts desire Kanako. Shang Tsung whispered to her.
Kanako motionlessly used her sorcery and sent him into Molochs lair as a present for Moloch.
Does it turn you on? She asked him coyly.
Shang Tsung sneered. Well leave him here to suffer, lets just go. He held her as he teleported them to his bedroom.

Something has been bothering me. Kanako sighed that night.
Like?
About me. Remember, you told me that you didnt think I was any mere sixteen year old girl. You told me that soul stealing takes years as well as transmogrification and whats more......watch this! Kanako stretched her arm out and took a letter opener, the same one she stabbed Ryo with.
She deliberately cut her upper arm. Her blood dripped from the freshly made wound. As Shang Tsung watched her, Kanako just gripped the wound and slowly ran her hand up it. The wound was gone, she was completely recovered.
I never taught myself that! Never! But I know it......how do I know something that I never taught myself???? Kanako asked him.
But you always do that, dont you?? Shang Tsung asked her.
Yes, always, I first found out I could do that, after I regained my consciousness and Megumi and Kei had taken me in. it was a while after, I cut myself on a knife, while doing dishes.
It didnt hurt, but I wiped the blood off and to my amazement, the wound was healed. I kept it to myself, and thats why, thats why whenever I fight with my fists or my naginata, if I get hurt, I can always heal right after it.
But it bothers me. Who am I? Kanako placed her chest onto Shang Tsungs.
Kanako, to me youll always be Kanako. He told her.

She smiled, but inside she was feeling herself lose control. The idea of not knowing who she was scared her; and she, Kanako, feared nothing. She felt she could do nothing but lie against Shang Tsung and let his presence comfort her.
