• You will be assigned to work in groups of 4 people.
  • Each group will be assigned (at random) a body system to study. (Ex. Circulatory)
  • As a group you will pick 4 diseases or disorders related to that body system and research them to create your medical pamphlets.
  • Each member of the group will  research these diseases according to specific roles.
  • Read the descriptions of the group roles below and have each member in your group choose the role which appeals to them the most.

The Diagnostic Specialist-  This person will be responsible for gathering information about the symptoms associated with each of the diseases your group has chosen to research.

The Treatment Specialist- This person will be responsible for gathering information about the possible medical treatments for each of the diseases your group has chosen to research.

The Preventative Specialist- This person will be responsible for gathering information about the types of behaviors necessary to prevent a person from getting this disease.  You will include information about specific groups of people who may be at greatest risk for the disease, based on their genetics and lifestyle

The Design Editor- This person will be responsible for creating and designing the pamphlets.  The design editor will use the computer to create an attractive and colorful pamphlet which includes the information gathered by the other team members.   You can search for an assortment of illustrations and images on any topic by clicking here.

Be sure that when you are writing your pamphlets that you do not plagiarize.  The information you include in your pamphlets must be paraphrased.  This means that it should be written in your own words.
