There is a tremendous amount of free health information available today, especially through the use of the internet.  Providing basic medical information in a form that is easy to access and easy to understand is an important part of preventative medicine.
     For those people who do not have access to the internet there are other ways for health professionals to educate the public.  Each time you visit a doctor's office, hospital or medical clinic you will see an assortment of medical pamphlets.  They are there to provide basic information about common medical conditions and disorders so patients can refer to them at any time.
