The following comes from M.Mae Waggoner: Phillip Waggoner, third son of Jacob Waggoner, was born January 30, 1767 in Bucks County, PA. He married Elizabeth Wolf, sister to Philip Wolf, and appearently lived in Adams Co, PA before moving to Coshocton Co, OH. He was a large landholder.

Between 1806 and 1811 four families from Cumberland Co, PA emigrated to Coshocton Co, OH; namely, Phillip Waggoner, Phillip Wolf/Wolfe, George Leighninger, and George Loos. Many children of these families intermarried and settled in Oxford and surrounding townships; they engaged in farming and stock raising, milling, etc.

According to Phillip Waggoner's will he had nine children, one after his death- a son according to 1820 census click here. Phillip died on Oct 23, 1811 and his wife, Elizabeth, April 27, 1838. Both are buried in the Waggoner Cemetery, Oxford Twp, Coshocton Co, OH.

NOTE: Between 1841-1850 Charles, Jacob, and George migrated to Illinois and settled in the Crawford County (Southwest Twp.) and Lawrence County (Petty Twp.) area. Several of their children also migrated to this area. David did not migrate to Illinois, but sons, Jacob, Daniel and George D. Waggoner did.
