| june 7-12 |
| Day 1 -- We left in the morning and drove to Medford. Scott needed to do some owrk down there so it worked out perfectly with the timing of our trip. We stayed the night in a hotel and even Payton had a great time swimming in the indoor pool. This picture is of Mt. Shasta, taken from the inside of our van as we were driving by (actually on day 2). |

| Day 2 -- The next leg of our trip took us to Monterey where we met up with Scott's parents, two brothers and their families. Almost a complete family reunion! We drove to Cannery Row (remembering to honk in the tunnel) and had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp -- good cocunut shrimp. Here's the whole crew -- we were a pretty rowdy bunch! |
| Day 3 -- A big day for the "boys" of the family. In the morning Kevin graduated from his army linguistics training (he's been learning Arabic). Then the guys left to play golf at the course of their dreams. . . Pebble Beach. Pictures to come later. While the guys played golf, the girls & kiddies spent the afternoon together. We went to the beach and later to the Dennis the Menace Park for a dinner picnic. Conner loved the beach -- digging in the sand and just watching the waves crash. Payton, on the other hand, has no love of the beach. He freaked out when the sand touched his feet or toes. So he spent the whole time on grammer's lap or being held. |
