california trip - page 2
june 7-12
Day 4 -- We made it to my parent's house after midnight and were looking forward to the next 2 days without any driving!  The boys had such a fun time at Grammer & Papa's house.
My dad recently purchased this dune buggy and several ATVs, so the boys took many rides on those.
They also picked (and devoured) cherries & strawberries from the garden.
Swimming was of course a daily ritual.
Conner & Payton had a ball playing with Pepsi (their jack russell terrier who likes to eat groundhogs whole - yuck!).
For lunch and dinner we grilled and ate at the new
outdoor barbeque/kitchen that my dad built.  It is really nice!
Scott and I took advantage of the California sun to work on our tans (and sunburns).
Day 5 -- Another day of much of the same activities.  In the afternoon/evening Scott & I and my parents went to the wedding of one of my childhood/high school friends.  We lived across the street from this family for 15 years and grew up together.  It was fun to see her on her big day, and also just to attend the event because it was held at the same place where Scott & I had our reception 6 1/2 years ago!
Day 6 -- the 12 hour drive home.  It's a good thing we have a DVD player in the van!
