Shamaron Basenjis is a small, family-oriented kennel located west of Innisfail, Alberta. Our focus has always been quality, health, and temperament in red, black, and tricolour. In the years since our inception in 1988, Shamaron is proud to have produced 35 home-bred champions and to have garnered many group, puppy group, and puppy show honours along the way. BISS, multi BIS Ch. Shamaron's Imperial Crusader (pictured above and on our home page) was #1 Basenji, #10 Hound, in Canada for 1992. Over the course of a short but exceptional show career, Cruz amassed an impressive array of awards that included 20 puppy group wins, 4 Best Puppy in Show wins, over 30 First in Group wins (out of a total of over 100 hound group placements), 5 Bests in Show and a National Specialty win (1995). |
