Take Me There
Silent Eyes, Feathered Flight
Arc of Wisdom, Dark of Night
Downward Winds, Revealing Calm
The Bitter Notes of Nature's Song

Between the leaves I catch my breath mirrored in his eyes, the silent hunter, masked by the night.  I watch him, echoeing his patience and endurance.  Our eyes lock and at once I understand him, his quiet strength, his stalk of survival.  The slight wind through the brances blinds me of my view for a moment, and I catch only the end of his gentle low swoop, perfect and still.  I am left with his pristine memory imbedded in the depths of my soul, reflected in my eyes, revealed in my heart.

I walk slowly along my path once again, my steps sure and steady.  The night blankets me with its warmth, and I curl up between the beginning roots of a tall oak.  I dream of the cool earth, the depth and security of the darkness.

I renew in the dawn, and rise to walk with the Eagle.
