Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin (from left to right): John Paul Jones (Bass and Keyboards), Robert Plant (Lead Vocals and Harmonica), John Bonham (Drums), Jimmy Page (Guitar)

Led Zeppelin, simply put, in one of rock's greatest entities. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1969, to much praise and acclaim. Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III followed soon after. Their most popular album, dubbed Led Zeppelin IV by most, was released in 1971, which featured the hit "Stairway To Heaven", which became the #1 most played song in radio. Houses of the Holy, Physical Graffiti, Presence, and the live album How the West Was Won followed soon after, each containing excellent songs. In Through The Out Door was released in 1979, and it would be the band's last studio album. Drummer John Bonham died the following year, causing the band to disband in December 1980. Page released Coda, a compilation album of unreleased b-sides, for the fans shortly afterward. Though the band's career was cut somewhat short, they managed to record a string of excellent albums in their legacy, and their music lives on
