�Let me see,� suggested Kagome, taking the book from the fox, �Acting normal?�
�What?! I don�t need to be taught that! I�m perfectly normal,� Inuyasha smiled and said boldly, �If it moves, attack it!� He punched the air.
�What if it�s a toilet?� asked Kagome with a flat expression.
�Oh, that water youkai that tries to eat you?� he asked, �Then you go ahead and kill it!� he said with his eyes flashing, just imagining the thought.
Kagome sighed. �I know that you have done all you could Shippou,� apologized Kagome, feeling rather depressed,� He - Can�t � Be - Helped.� She sobbed.
�I know, Kagome. I�m sorry,� said Shippou beginning to cry.
�What the heck are all you guys crying about? I was explaining what to do if the water youkai tries to eat you!� he shouted as Kagome walked sadly towards the well, completely ignoring him.
�Fine! LET THE WATER YOUKAI EAT YOU! SEE IF I CARE!� he bellowed after her as she went down the well.
�I have an idea!� said Miroku running towards him (with bandages over his face, due to earlier events). �It will make her really happy.� Miroku added slyly.
�I guess so,� said the hanyou reluctantly, as they walked to the nearest village
Darn it, she thought, turning over with face into her pillow with shame.
�Kagome? I got your note,� said Souta outside her door. She didn�t respond.
�Are you crying?� he asked bluntly.
�No,� said Kagome with her face still in her pillow.
�Can I come in?� he asked, opening the door ajar.
�I guess,� she said, sitting up on her bed.
�Did you get in a fight with Inuyasha? Again?� he asked.
Kagome sighed again and put her face back into her pillow and mumbled �Okay, if that�s the most comforting thing you can say, you can go now.�
�Okay . . ..� he said, beginning to leave.
Later that day, Kagome left Souta for the dreadful party. �Okay Souta, be a good boy until mommy comes home,� she said locking the door behind her.
Souta started his way upstairs and walking past Kagome�s room he stopped and screamed.
�Whhhhaaaattttt arrrreee yyyouu wearing?� he asked shaking with fear.
�Shut up, kid,� a voice replied.
