			The Thunder racing class is a 4 cylinder racing division. We race two to four times a month from May to September at Scotia Speedworld near Halifax NS and some weekends at The Molson Canadian Center for Speed in Shediac NB My name is Ed Walker, I grew up near Halifax but now live in Shubencadie. I first became involved in stockcar racing when I was 14 years old. I was a team member for a street stock race team where I learned the basics of building and setting up racecars. Two years later I was racing my first stock car. I raced hoby stock for two years, and then became involved in 1/4 mile drag racing. I did that for two years also. I took some time off, away from racing but in the middle of 1999 I started building a new drag car. A year and a half later I was drag racing again. I raced that car untill 2003 (it's for sale now if your interested). Since 2003, i've been back on the oval track racing thunder cars. At the end 2004 through 2005 I was involved in John Flemmings prostock team. While with that team I learned alot. But due to a lack of free time to give them I left the team, I'm still in constant contact with the friends I made there, and tap into their know how when I need extra help with my car.
	2006 was a good year for us. We finished the season eleventh in points out a 48 car field, but only made it onto the podium once. After each and every race i'm going to write an update on this site as to how our night of racing went, where we finished, and where we are in the point standings. I also have a habit of voicing my opinion here on events that take place. You can read these updtes by clicking the "weekly report" link below. The 2007 schedule is not posted yet!
