Step Five - Display Properties Loader

How to disable Display Properties Loader
If you could not disable the Display Properties Loader from your system tray,
try this method.

This is a little more complicated.

Click the Start Button
Select Run,
Type "sysedit", and hit OK

Select win.ini
the first few lines should look like this
[windows]
load=C:\SIS6326\vi_grm.exe
run=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\cmmpu.exe
NullPort=None
device=Canon BJC-210,CANONBJ,LPT1:

On my system vi_grm is my display properties loader,
and cmmpu is part of my sound system,
neither of them are needed for me,
because the sound utilites for my audio card are not used.

So I edit it,
[windows]

NullPort=None
device=Canon BJC-210,CANONBJ,LPT1:

Select Save from the file menu.

Reboot your PC and check all is well.
