They did however gain some information from a 74 year old man, Morris WIlliam Shackleton, who was born in Montrose, Jewel County, Kansas. His father was Lee Edwin Shackleton and he was born in Tarkis, Missouri and came to Kansas in the late 1800's. Morris great grandfather was Stephen Matthew Shackleton, born in 1837 in Leeds, England. Earl and Ruth had a great time and were invited back for the next year.

Best wishes to Earl Shackelton: Earl had a serious operation in February and is still not too strong. However, he took his popcorn wagon to several county fairs in Minnesota. Included is a picture of Earl and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shackleton (I believe from the reunion they attended) |
