I realize that Bernice included many birthdates in her information, but I will not include any dates for those that I do not have a death date for. Times have changed since the 1970's and this is the Internet afterall! Please email me personally for any dates that appeared in the book or the newsletters. Sorry for any inconvience that this may cause.
This newsletter included information and a letter from Betty Brassington, a descendant of Ann Shackleton, also included a picture of Keith Shackleton, a grand nephew of Sir Ernest.

A letter from Horace E. Shackleton, Sr.:
He is concerned about the Hackensack, N.J. which says Earl Shackelton of Canby, Michigan says the Shackletons landed in his article (July-August 1974) in Nitecap Weekly Magazine. He says that he personally feels that Hackensack would be a very unlikely landing place.  The Hackensack River is not very navigaable. He states that he is quite familiar with that area and believes that it was more likely Hackettstown as it is only 10-12 miles from Oxford.

Does anyone have a copy of the article that Horace is referring to? or know where I could obtain a copy of it?
