Oscar Ellsworth Shackelton Information
Oscar Ellsworth Shackelton, the seventh child and fourth son of Jacob Wintermute and Ethalinda (Gere) Shackelton was born 8 August 1863 at Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania; died 6 July 1931 in Elmira, New York while living with Charles Carey; buried at Mora, Minnesota.
He married his cousin, Hattie May Shackelton, sister to Jennie, the wife of Luman Shackelton. She was the daughter of Charles Shackelton and Henrietta Elizabeth Kneeskern. (Two brothers married two sisters). Hattie was born 3 August 1867 in Decorah, Iowa; died 10 May 1926; buried in Mora, Minnesota, beside Oscar.
