To the right you will see a preview of my Storm Clock screen
saver for download. If the preview is not showing, then you do
not have the latest JAVA runtime. You may download the latest
JAVA runtime here:
http://java.sun.com
The screen saver was originally written in JAVA. It runs on a
very basic design. Each floating digit is an object of type FloatingDigit.
Each object keeps track of its current position, heading, speed,
and color. The main program is responsible for drawing all the
digits on screen, setting a heading for them, and assigning a
color to fade towards.
Anyway... The screen saver application can be found here:
StormClock.zip
Installation Instructions:
1) Download StormClock.zip
to your desktop.
2) Extract the files and put them into your windows
directory.
3) Open Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver
tab
4) Select StormClock as your screen saver.
5) Press "Settings" to change the default
settings.
Trouble Shooting:
If windows brings up a message "mfc70d.dll" or "msvcr70d.dll"
files are missing. Download the two files below and extract them
in your windows folder.
( mfc70d.dll,
msvcr70d.dll ).zip
This is still a beta release and may still have
some bugs in it. The screen saver has been tested on Windows 2000
Pro, Windows XP, and Windows XP Pro.
Uninstall:
To uninstall, just delete the file StormClock.scr
from your windows directory.
