| To Be Desired Chapter 6 Art is the recreation of an image whether it be there or simply in your mind We got to the airport and checked in our bags. We have a private plane! How cool is that? We walked straight onto the plane it was soo cool! I took a found a nice window seat and sat down. I was looking out the window and heard someone sit down next to me. I turned my head and saw Paul. Hey He said. Hi I said smiling. I shifted in my chair to a comfortable position. The planes not going to leave for a while Paul started. You dont hafto sit down yet He added. Well, what am I supposed to do? Run around the plane? I asked looking at him. He laughed Only if you want to He said. Would you pretend you didnt know me? I asked smiling. Oh, Never he said. OK I said. I got up and walked to the front of the plane. I ran to the back then to the front then back to by seat and jumped over Pauls legs and fell into my seat. Everyone was looking over at me like I was crazy. Paul was laughing. I was laughing. We were both laughing. lol sorry ok. Did I mention I had lots of coffee this morning? I joked. We sat for a while trying to breathe normally. OK Im bored now I said slouching in my seat. You get bored quickly He laughed. No not really I said. It depends I added. Oooo I said all of a sudden I had forgotten I had my sketchbook in my purse. I pulled it out. Whats that? Paul asked. Sketchbook I said searching my purse for a pencil. I found one! OK I said. Sit still I added opening to a blank page, which was at the last third of the book, I had drawn many a picture in that thing. It was black and I had this cooli sticker on the cover. It was the British flag with the Beatles name on it. He looked at me. Youre going to draw me? He asked. I looked at him highly sarcastically. Nawww I drawled laughingly. Im going to draw John, I just like looking at your face I said. He smiled. Youre an artist too then? He asked. I suppose I said. "Oh" I exclaimed.I Painted the with the Beatles Cover! I said excitedly. It was so cool! I had it above my bed. It took a really long time to paint I added. He smiled. Sounds Great He said. It was I said. Can I look at that? He asked gesturing towards the book. Sure I said handing it to him. He opened the cover and looked at the first picture, the rubber soul album cover. I laughed Fancy That I said. No, Its really good He said. I laughed I never said it wasnt good I said. He laughed. Just be warned...they are mostly Beatles...and Horses...yeah I said. He nodded turning the page. It was a horse running in a fieldish thing, with tall grass. Then I gasped remembering. Wait I said nervously putting my hand to it. There are some drawings of things to come in there I said taking it from his hands. Here Ill turn to pages if theyre OK Ill let you see them I said. He nodded and smiled. I handed back the horse picture. Youre really good He said almost in wonder. Ive had lots of practice with horses I explained. ...And Beatles I added. He smiled and handed the book back. I looked at the next page, It was a picture of Paul, I loved this one, It was him like in 64 and he was soo cute. I handed it to him. He smiled. I love it He said. Thanks I said. You are an excellent artist He repeated. Thank you, That means a lot I said. Your welcome He said. He handed me the book. Come on, then He said. I want to see more He added. I laughed. And it went on like that. He saw a majority of my pictures. I only had like 10 that were of something later...To be honest I preferred the Beatles in the early sixties. What I did show him were some album covers, some publicity group shots, some candid group shots, some of just Paul, some of just each of them but embarrassingly enough most were of Paul (he didnt seem to mind), some of horses, lots of horses actually I thought they were the most beautiful things in the world...besides Beatles that is. He loved all my work. He was pouring compliments out over every one. We got to the end. Youre pictures are fantastic He said after he finished. You have a great eye for detail, You can really capture someone He added. Thanks a lot I said blushing. He smiled Can we show them? He said gesturing with his head to the rest of the band who were talking. I Know theyll love them He added. I nodded. But, wait I said. I looked through the book finding all the pics of them older and ripped them out very carefully. I made care so they werent folded and put them in my purse. I handed it to him. There you go I said smiling. He got up and brought it back. I decided to follow him. Decided to join us then? John asked. No I said. You hafto see Sarahs Drawings Paul said handing the book to John. Theyre Fantastic He added. I blushed again while everyone looked at me. Not THAT good I said. He laughed. Sure they are He said. I sat down sideways with my legs over the armrest in the seat in front of John. He looked through my book while a conversation picked up. He went through the whole thing. They are pretty good He said handing it to George. Thanks I said. I did notice that they were all of Paul, though He said teasingly. They were not I said. Yeah They were He replied. No, there we like...two without him I said jokingly. Right He said. No, Really I had lots of all of you, and lots of horses and, some of you and everyone else alone I said. Yeah I added. He laughed. Well, there were a lot of him He admitted. Sooo I said. Is that a bad thing? I asked. Not if youre him He said. I looked over at him and he winked. I blushed a bit. I looked at Paul, he was looking at me. I looked down to my knees. Meanwhile George had finished looking through it and handed it to Ringo. You are incredible George said. Who told you? I joked. He blushed a bit. I laughed, as did everyone else. Thanks a lot I said as the laughter died down. Ringo started through the book as conversation picked up. When Ringo was about halfway through the book the captain came over the speaker telling us to go back to our seats. Everyone stood up. You can keep that until you finish it. I said to Ringo. He nodded. Its very nice so far He added. Thanks I said walking towards my seat. The take off was pretty smooth and we got into the air quickly. Me and Paul stayed in our seats and started a conversation. Where were you from originally? Paul asked. Not were I said. Im still from it whether or not Im a couple decades unborn I explained. He smiled. Alright, Where ARE you from? He asked. Southern California I replied smiling. What an awesome place to grow up He said. I nodded. I want to go to England I said. He looked at me. Why? He asked. I just do, It sounds so awesome! Ive wanted to go since I was twelve I said. He smiled. Then Youll hafto go wont you? He said. I looked at him suspiciously. Just then Ringo walked up to us. He handed me the book. Youre really a great artist He said. Thank you I said. He winked and walked back to the group. Anyroad, I said searching through my purse for my pencil. OK, Stay Still I repeated. He smiled and turned to face me. I looked at him. Dont smile I said. He dropped the smile slowly and looked at me. Turn your head a bit I said. He turned his head. Hold it I said. I drew Pauls face trying to make it look awesome...who knew when Id get a 3-D Model to draw him from again. I finally finished, he had been a super model the whole time. Done I said. I handed it to him. He shook his head. I could never draw like that He said. Yeah you could I replied. He looked at me and smiled. I turned the page and started drawing a horse. He sat and watched me for a while. Why dont you go talk to them? I asked. I know this cant be that stimulating I added. Wont you be lonely? He asked. I smiled. Naw, You can go I said. How sweet of him! OK he said and got up and walked back to them. I finished my horse and closed my book. I put it in my purse and stood up. Just then the captain came on and said to return to our seats because we would be landing shortly. I sat back down and looked out the window. San Francisco.
