| Hello Everyone! Well 2005 Has been a huge year - weddings, licenses, cars, moving houses, new jobs and so many other emotions mixed in. On January 15th as you all know Brad and I got married up at my local church "Regina Coeli Parish Church" in Bevo (Beverly Hills). Throughout the months leading up to our big day we both had to fight what felt like tooth and nail with our own families to try to convince them that this is what we wanted to do. Ellen was the one who understood where Brad and I were coming from first, and with her standing by us helped me plan our big day! The days before the wedding Brad and I managed to spend quality time with both of our families, which I believe was what was really needed. It helped us both show everyone, well try to show everyone that we love them so very much. The night before the wedding, yes we know that the bride and groom arent meant to see each other the day before the wedding. Brad and I were still trying to prepare everything for the big day, like printing the service booklets. After Brad went home, Mum, Linda, Sean and I plus my adopted big brother Ben, sat around the dinner table putting these booklets together and talking about random memories from when we were growing up. Between you and me, some may say we all had a little too much to drink! After everyone had gone to bed, and after realising that I couldnt sleep, I went to talk to mum - who like me, couldnt sleep! I must admit, I have never felt closer to mum in my whole life up until that night. We had shared a few tears, but it felt like whilst mum was looking at me as her eldest child about to take a couple of huge leaps and bounds in growing up, that she was also looking at me as a best friend, and to me that is one of the things that made everything so much more special. The Big Day finally arrived, I must admit that I was pretty nervous, but nervous about the tension that was between my mum and dad and all the possible potential scenes that kept going through my mind. But it all turned out really good. Someone up there loves us..... as well as so many people down here! As requested by my now Mother-in-law Ellen, I was late! 12 Minutes from Brads Count! For all those wondering did I have something borrowed - No; did I have something blue - Yes (a bow on my garter); did I have something old - Sort of (jewellery that Brad had got me for Christmas 2003); did I have something new - Yes (dress, shoes, etc). One of my mums requests was that I have my veil over my face when I walk up the aisle, well I nearly forgot to put it over my face - but I did!!! Brad looked amazing, stunning, as he always does!!!! :-) I will never forget the look on Brads face as I started to walk up the aisle, I will never forget the look in his eyes when he was saying his wedding vows. The day wouldnt have been so wonderful without the help of so many awesome people - Leonie - for making me look gorgeous, Grace - for the photos, Peter - for the cars, Linda, David and Mark - for handing out the little booklets, Gooba, Sean, Brett and Annelise - for the readings, Ravi - for the invitations, Mary Anne and Luke, and both of our families for all the love and support that they have given us, and for making us the people that we are! I'd also like to thank everyone who came to our wedding and made it so bery special, and for helping everything to run as smoothly as possible. |
