GHOSTS

'Ghosts' was released in 1997 on home video around the world, excluding North America. Originally introduced to the world at the Cannes Music festival in 1996, 'Ghosts' is based on a story developed by Michael Jackson and author Steven King. Michael plays the role of 5 different characters in the 37 minute film.

The film follows the story about a character named the Maestro (played by Michael) who lives in a spooky old mansion on a hill overlooking a town. The towns people lead by the mayor (Michael) go to the Maestro's home to convince him to leave the town and find a new home because he is "scaring the children". The film includes Michael's songs "Too Bad", "Ghosts", and "Is It Scary" off of the 'HIStory' and 'Blood On The Dance Floor' albums.

HISTORY ON FILM VOL II

This home video was released in 1997 on videocassette around the world, and was re-released in 2000 on DVD.

The video highlights the 6 videos for the songs off of the 'History' album, as well as the "Blood On The Dance Floor" video and his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards fro 1995. Previously released videos "Thriller", "Beat It", "Liberian Girl", as well as the "HIStory" teaser, and "Brace Yourself" were also included on the video.

DANGEROUS: THE SHORT FILMS

This home video was released on videocassette and laser disc in 1993 around the world.

The short films compilation included 10 of Michael's music videos from the songs off of his 'Dangerous' album, in addition to his performances and appearances at the Superbowl, the Grammy awards, and the NAACP awards. Behind-the-scenes looks at the the 'Black Or White' video (directed by John Landis), 'Remember The Time' (directed by John Singleton), 'Jam' (featuring appearances by Michael Jordan and Kris Kross), and 'In The Closet' (directed by Herb Ritts and featuring Naomi Campbell) were also included as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the Dangerous world tour.

MICHAEL JACKSON: THE LEGEND CONTINUES

Originally created as a TV special for Showtime, this special was released on videocassette in 1988.

The video, narrated by James Earl Jones, highlights Michael's career beginning with the Motown Records audition up until the Bad world tour, and features guest appearances by Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Cyndi Lauper, Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Jackson, Gene Kelly, Quincy Jones, Sammy Davis Jr., Dick Clark, Suzanne de Passe, Katharine Hepburn, Martin Scorsese, Smoky Robinson, and Sophia Loren.

MOONWALKER

This home video was released in 1988 on videocassette.

The video contains the entire full length short film 'Smooth Criminal' (starring Joe Pesci, Sean Lennon) in which the evil Mr. Big has kidnapped Michael's friend Katie in order to trap and destroy him and get the world's children addicted to drugs. Michael's character has super human powers with a wish on his lucky star and the encouragement of his young friends. The video also includes music videos from the songs off of Michael's 'Bad' album, in addition to live performances of 'Man In The Mirror' and 'Come Together' (Michael's spin on the Beatles' classic song), and a humorous version of Michael's hit video "Bad" (featuring the talent of Brandon Adams).

CAPTAIN EO

This 3D film was released as an attraction in the Disney theme parks around the world, but was never released on home video.

Michael plays the role of Captain EO, a commander of a wacky crew aboard a space ship who's mission is to visit a planet over taken by an evil Supreme Leader (played by Anjelica Houston). Captain EO and his crew must deliver a special gift to bring love and happiness to the planet through music and dance. The film features the songs "We Are Here To Change The World" and "Another Part Of Me" and was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas.

WE ARE THE WORLD: USA FOR AFRICA

This home video was released on videocassette in 1985.

The video, narrated by Jane Fonda, highlights the over-night recording session that took place on January 28, 1985 between 44 of the music industry's biggest stars. The song being recorded was titled "We Are The World" and was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and produced by Quincy Jones.The video features Michael, Lionel Richie, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, among others.

MOTOWN 25: YESTERDAY, TODAY, FOREVER

Originally aired on television as a Motown Records anniversary special, this special was released on videocassette in 1983.

The special features performances by all of Motown's biggest stars, including a special performance re-uniting the Jackson 5 as well as Michael's world famous performance of "Billie Jean" where he performed the Moonwalk for the first time. Special appearances also include, Dick Clark, Marvin Gaye, Richard Pryor, Lionel Richie, Linda Ronstadt, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, among others.

THE MAKING OF MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER

This home video was released on videocassette in 1983.

The video shows the full length short film "Thriller" as well as a detailed look behind-the-scenes at the making of the spectacular film. The video also has excerpts of the Jackson 5's appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, the "Can You Feel It" video, "Beat It" video, Michael's performance of "Billie Jean" at Motown 25, as well as interviews with the cast and crew. Special appearances are made by director John Landis, Ola Ray, Michael Peters, and Dick Clark, among others.

THE WIZ

This film was originally released in theatres in 1978, and was later released on videocassette.

The film is a black musical version of the traditional "Wizard Of Oz" film, and stars Michael Jackson as the loveable Scarecrow. The film was directed by Sidney Lumet and starred, in addition to Michael, Diana Ross (as Dorothy), Nipsey Russell (as the Tin Man), and Tony Ross (as the Lion).
