| St. Gabriel Church Altar Serving Guidelines |
| The following are important! Read it carefully. It clearly spells out the expectations and guidelines for all altar servers. |
| To be in ministry, to serve the Lord and His people is a privilege and not a right |
| 1. All servers are expected to be at the Church 15mins before the Mass begins 2. All servers are expected to fulfill their assigned times to serve 3. All servers are expected to find their own replacement if they cannot make it for whatever reason 4. All servers are to sign in when they serve. If you are a substitute, please sign your name and the name of the person who asked you to take his/her place 5. All servers are expected to wear "Sunday clothes" at the weekend Masses 6. All servers are expected to pay attention to the priest during Mass. There is to be no talking during services 7. All servers are expected to hang up their vestments after Mass 8. All are expected to know and say the appropiate responses throughout the Mass 9. All servers are expected to serve at funerals and weddings when asked 10. If you are present at a Mass and see that we are short of servers, please volunteer. If Mass has already begun, don't hesitate to come up and serve |
