Lt. Fischer graduated with honors from Washington College in Chestertown, MD with a Degree in International Relations. Upon Gradutation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, and was placed in Officer Candidate School. Upon his graduation from OCS, he began his flight training and recieved his wings of Gold two years later. He was initially trained to fly the F/A-18D, and was stationed aboard the USS Enterprise CVN-65 as his first tour of duty. He is a veteran of Bosnia, and demonstrated enough skill as a fighter pilot that he was drafted by the Department of the Navy to serve as the Naval attache to the Air Force's 201st Darkstar Titans, an F-302 squadron. It was there that he learned how to fly the F-302, the new fighter designed by the Air Force to fight an enemy force known as the Goa'uld. Fischer fought alongside Cameron Mitchell and his squadron of F-302's in the Battle of the Lost City, where his Air Combat skills were tested for the first real time since Bosnia. Fischer survived, a wiser and better pilot than before. After the Battle, the Navy formed an F-302 squadron of it's own: VFAS-221, the "Stargators". Since he was the officer with the most experience in the F-302, he was made Commanding Officer of the Squadron. He now faces the task of forming the Squadron into a cohesive unit to fight a new threat: the Ori.
