History
Growing up on the streets of Chicago can be tough at times. That's why Sonny was born a fighter. Sonny was very tough, and as a teenager he started to fight in clubs. Since Sonny was very big for his age, he would fight men many years older than him, and would most times win. Sonny would always have the upper hand and fought on instinct. Sonny is a very accomplished fighter and can use streetfighting, kung-fu, and is an excellent mat wrestler. Sonny was discovered by Pat Miletich one night while fighting, and instantly started training to become a UFC fighter. Sonny then converted to wrestling because it was a childhood dream for him.

Upon entering SFW, Sonny showed potential but couldn't seem to make a name for himself. He met up with his cousin, the Don, and they created the Knockaround Boyz. In the beginning, they had a hard time winning gold. But at another try, the Kncockaround Boyz claimed the gold by defeating NightWolf and the True Franchise in a triple threat match.

The Knockaround Boyz stepped on the gas pedal and held the titles for 6 months, the longest in SFW history. They defeated many top teams, and solidified their dominance. At a PPV, Sonny won the US Brute title earlier in the night and had to defend the tag team titles against the team of Hawkwind and Jim Rourke. Unfortunately, the Knockaround Boyz lost their titles because of a miscommunication.

Sonny was enraged, and completely demolished the Don, putting him out of action for a month. Sonny claimed that the Don held him back and never appreciated him. Sonny said that he didn't need the Don and won the US Brute Title by himself.

Once the Don came back, Sonny was determined to put him back in the hospital. Sonny put his title on the line against the Don in a Last Man Standing match. The brutal and suicidal match ended in a double count-out, which meant Sonny retained his title. Sonny then lost his title in a MOTY candidate to the Don in a 60-Minute Hardcore Ironman match in overtime.

He then won his title back in a TLC Match against the Don, which put to rest their fued. Sonny has succesfully defended against the Franchise and Jim Rourke, and his feud with the new and improved True Franchise looks to be taking off. Who knows what holds in store for the smooth one.
