About Myself                          My name is Jennifer Lyn Finkbeiner.  In the classroom, the students call me Ms. Lyn. I graduated from California State Univeristy, Northridge in December 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and pursued my Multiple Subject Credential. I am currently working towards my Secondary Math Credential and Master's Degree in Education.Currently, I teach 7th and 8th grade Math and Spanish at CHIME Charter Middle School.
My Teaching Philosophy                                                    I believe the children are our future …… I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something special and unique to this world. Each child can bring something artistically, physically, and intelligently to the forefront. Teach them well and let them lead the way ….. Every classroom presents a community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. My role as a teacher is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. Give them a sense of pride ….. My classroom will be a safe and nurturing place where children can learn and grow into special human beings.  Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be... Teaching is a lifelong learning process of learning about new philosophies and new strategies, learning from the parents and community, learning from colleagues, and especially learning from the children.
