| ~ POSTED ON TMB ~ Hey! I just wanted to give my fellow carb crashers a little heads up. I don't know about anyone else, but I practically pass out (from exhaustion) if I have too many carbs at one time. Anyways, I bought an Isopure protein drink to try before deciding whether or not to buy a case to take home with me. Well, in the refrigerator section of Vitamin Shoppe, they didn't have the Isopure Zero Carb Protein drinks, and I didn't even think to pay attention to the carb count before buying the normal Isopure Protein drink (Alpine Punch). Well, it tasted fine (not as good as my Sci-Fit Protein Twist, which is no longer sold), so I went over to where they had the cases on sale. That is when I noticed that they had ones that were Zero Carb, which led me to look at the carb count on the normal protein drink -- 25 g. I, of course, bought a case of the Zero Carb Alpine Punch. Well, on my way home, I started getting very sleepy and sluggish -- couldn't stop yawning, which is what happens to me when I'm having a carb crash. I was miserable, and it seemed to last longer than usual, especially considering I had only drank about 1/4 of the Isopure protein drink with carbs. I've decided, since it is liquid form, it kicks in faster (absorbed better) and stays longer. On the upside, this tells me that my body must be absorbing the liquid protein pretty well :-) Anways, I just wanted to forewarn people to make sure that y'all buy the Zero Carb Protein drinks if you decide to go with Isopure.
