| I've had more back pain since this surgery than I did before the surgery. My doc says that is b/c my hips are shifting back to where they should be. As an overweight person, we waddle, which causes our hips to become misaligned. As we lose weight, our hips shift back into alignment. My breasts also affect my back. They sag a lot more now (my sister-in-law says that is b/c I know longer have a tummy to hold them up). Another thing that causes me back pain is when I'm constipated. I've also had a kidney stone, which is an excrutiating pain really and can happen on either side. My kidneys like to take turns on which side gets to have the kidney stone each time. I've had one kidney stone since the surgery, but I've had 4 or 5 kidney stones in the past few years -- NOT fun :-( 1-20-05 My new exercise regimin: I ride the exercise bike for 30 minutes, walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes, do 50 situps with the Ab Lounge, and have recently added 20 reps each with a barbell (arms and chest) and thigh master. I do all of this at home. If I belonged to a gym, I'd be using the thigh machine a lot b/c my thighs are my biggest problem area (along with my saggy boobs) :-( |
