1. www.Gay.com allows private conversations in 400 chat rooms nationwide. This offers great possibilities for setting up local meetings all over the US. There are many regional Bay Area rooms; San Francisco alone typically has 150 men in several rooms). Profiles of those in a chat room are easy to pull up, often including a g-rated picture. But many guys have no profiles (their loss). Room chat can tie up a lot of your time and computer's power.

2. Bulletin boards. www.CraigsList.org/sfo/nby/ (then click on personals "men seeking men"). This appears to be an active place for arranging immediate sex, but the percent of actual meetings is low. A few pics, ads vary in amount of info provided. Also see their SF city listings - a huge number daily. 3. www.myGaydar.com features many large pics of those online (typically 100+ in the SF Bay Area, and even more men in other major cities in the world). Most guys send short messages; getting to the site's personal chat area is a challenge. Unlike some other sites, your profile can include your email and other contact data. This and gay.com are the best places to make international contacts.

4. www.Men4Now.com, www.Manhunt.net , and www.Adam4Adam.com have pics of locals online (50 -120 men) plus messaging to contact them. The sites seem to draw downtown SF guys.

5. www.GayAddress.com, www.SilverDaddies.com, www.DaddyHunt.com, www.GuyProfiles.com, and www.GuyStats.com are listings of many guys' statistics, often with his pic. You can pull up names by location and characteristics or key words. If a guy appeals, you can send him an email. (But email is much less effective than instant messaging for making a contact.) Some sites have guestbooks for each member where you can make or read comments by others.

6. Sites with good features, but with few listings:  www.Outpersonals.com, www.Guys4Men.com, www.HardBuddies.com, www.ManTracker.com, www.AssAffair.com, www.Squirt.org, www.GayMatchmaker.com, www.DudesNude.com, www.Male2Male.com, www.GayWired.com, www.ManStats.com, www.DatingCompany.com, www.QGUYS.com, and www.GayBoi.org. Adding your profile listings to these sites will get you some added email contacts.

7. National chatrooms: www.chat.MSN.com/chatroom.msnw?rm=Men4Men or http://chat.YAHOO.com or www.AIM.com/community/chats.adp (click on Gay Chat under Romance). These sites are ideal for cyber sex and for chatting with teens around the country. (See OralMarin's chats, as with 19yo showing his10.5" cock.) Differences: MSN has strict chat monitors, Yahoo offers access to profiles of those not online, AOL is set up for easy display of pictures in the chat. If you pay AOL for Internet service, you also have access to their many local gay chat rooms, similar to Gay.com.

8. Yahoo groups (such as www.groups.yahoo.com\group\sanfranciscoblowjobs) used to be quite active when they showed who was online. Without that, most contact is through club messages.
