Sewing Projects

Here are some of my favorite sewing projects. I started quilting a couple years ago and really enjoy it. Unfortunately I don't have the time I would like to devote myself to it.

Trysta dances in a group called Hilltop Heritage Dancers. They meet one evening a week to practice folk dances from around the world. This year Trysta chose to be from Scotland.

I really enjoy using hand-dyed fabrics. This is from my collection of fabrics by Shady Textiles. The colors are rich and stay beautiful. The pattern is all done in half squares which can be used in a lot of different ways.

I like to do something complicated to keep me on my toes. This quilt is with hand dyed fabrics on black background. Its just the right size for a wall hanging. It took about 2 weeks to get this done.

My first quilt using EQ4. Love that program! I was able to scan the fabrics into the computer and layout the quilt in EQ4. This allowed me to be able to get a feel for what the quilt would look like before I had to cut anything.

This was the second quilt I did on EQ4. Love those bright colored fabrics by Alex Anderson. I saw them and just had to use them.

This is a puppy bed I made for a friend of mine. I completely did this without buying a pattern. It was a lot of fun. The top is a Malden Mills fleece (love that company) and the sides and bottom are denim.

This is a beautiful summer dress I made for my daughter when she was little. I think she was about 4 years old when this was taken.

This was my favorite dress and had to make. The bow on the hat has a pin backing so it can be changed to go with other dresses. The white dress was done with a tone on tone print. The blue and white pinafore had buttons up the back. She wore that hat until it wouldn't fit any more.
