SEWER ZINE #3 Out Now!!

Crawling up from the SEWER comes the 3rd issue of this underground zine you hold in your hands. Emerging from the lands of HELLAS, SEWER ZINE is a one man´s zine. This means a lot of hard work, many hours of late night sessions in front of the computer writing reviews, interviews and editing the zine, money spent in internet cafes to send interviews and collect stuffs, more money spent at printing stores etc., but it’s all worth it. I wanna take the time to thank all the people who contacted me via e-mail or letter, sent me their promo packs, answered my interviews, or traded with me. Without you people this would have never been possible. I wanna say a loud “sorry” to those of you who don’t see a review of your work herein. I feel I need to explain and get this straight. SEWER ZINE is not a profit thing for me. I just do it to support my favourite music and for my own pleasure and fun. But, having to do billions of things for the zine (since I write all the texts by myself) doesn’t make it so much fun anymore. In fact it turns it into a stressful thing. If I continue things in this way, I will soon have to stop the zine, and I really don’t wanna do it. So, what I have to say about the reviews (which is the most tiring thing of all for me) is that I really want to support all bands that bother to send me their material, but since tons of stuffs flow in and gather in my room, I don’t have the time to listen to them all and I don’t have the time to review them all. I am 29 years old now, so time gets more and more precious day by day. Besides, I don’t wanna feel SEWER ZINE as an obligation. What I am trying to say is that you are free to send me your promo material for reviews, but please allow me to be also free to choose how many reviews I will do in every issue. I am really honoured by the stuffs you guys have sent me all this time, and I really wish I could review every single thing. Believe me I tried my best (just check the reviews section of this issue), but it would take lifetimes to review them all by myself. The zine had a strong delay this time and people were asking if it is still active. So, yes guys. It is active as fuck, but I had had to set some borders to what I had to do, otherwise it would have delayed one more year. Another thing about the reviews is that I try to be as objective as possible. Yet, when a review is done by a human, his personal taste undoubtedly will flow in. I tried to add as many possible contact ways (snail mail, websites, e-mails) as possible. I avoided using the address of the same label in each and every of its releases. The basic concept of this zine is to make you search. Be it with internet, flyers, asking friends, buying records or getting other zines. Of course I know and you know that a zine can never satisfy everybody. The basic thing is that it satisfies me and it supports in its best possible way the mighty underground. Hope you enjoy and keep supporting… SEWER continues supporting as SEWER RECORDS too.
