BLEED FOR THE DEVIL Equador is a small country in the middle of the Americas. I was very happy when I went to Milan, Italy last November 2006 for the MASTERS OF DEATH TOUR to see some guys rising the flag of Equador. These people have travelled so many miles to see UNLEASHED, GRAVE, DISMEMBER and ENTOMBED. I thought that some kinda scene should be down there too. This 5 track tape recorded with just one guitar, drums and vocals is death metal as it was played in the mid up to late 80s. Very simple riffs, most of them slow to mid tempo, simple drum lines and chaotic slow vocals. Yet, it will appeal to the nostalgic ones of the old days. Comes in glossy paper including lyrics. (Undergrind Productions) This is a limited edition 30 seconds each side long tape with a recording of desperation. In side A someone is looking for his meds. He really needs his meds and he is as desperate as hell to get them. I cannot really put in words how I felt when listening this track. A great variety of emotions struck my whole being. Some will put the label “noise”, some will say that the voice here grinds or that the whole result is “experimental”, but I will just say “fuck off” to all these people and listen again and again this recording because it managed to put so many emotions in just 30 seconds. Etiquettes don’t help much. This is like an extract from an avant guarde performance in a theatre. It takes a lot of guts to put emotion into music. It also requires honest people: honest to themselves and their need for expression through sound. In side B there is another 30 secs anthem of lo-fi tape manipulation with sounds that will drive you to the darkest soundscapes. Thurston Moore from SONIC YOUTH, Yoko One and William S. The second side features 6 cover songs: 3 from GODSTOMPER (“Morbid Kitten”, “Dead Alive”, and “Shitlist”), 2 from NAPALM DEATH (“You Suffer” and “Dead”) plus one from CRIPPLE BASTARDS “Cops”). Of course this is for experimental, noise and grind freaks. This is a terroristic gunblast in your clear shaved fuckin’ faces… GORGONIZED DORKS / EGO DEATH split tape (Undergrind Productions) In this limited edition sick split of 35 red covered tapes, GORGONIZED DORKS from USA abuse the first side with 30 seconds of their analogue grind that includes tons of noises and sounds plus ultra chaotic vocals. On side B my personal noise act EGO DEATH performs a nihilistic 30 second carefully planned assault. The cover was done by Katz of GORGONIZED DORKS and prepares the listener for war. The cover features just the artwork. No song titles, no thankslists, no contacts, no nothings. Nihilism is here. War now! MORTALIZED – Satanic Serial Murder (Bloodbath Records) A cassette collection of the forthcoming “Mortalized” MCD, the “Absolute Mortality” MCD, the MORTALIZED songs that appear in the “True Ideal # 2 Compilation”, their part of the split EP with EVOL plus some unreleased songs. This is a handnumbered tape limited to just 200 copies (so hurry up!) and comes in hard paper cover. PERMANENT DEATH give a 12:26 track of noise/grind entitled “Untitled Ble”. GORGONIZED DORKS side is called “All Trax Untitled” and is an anthem of noise / experimental / dark stuff with real drums and aesthetic close to the early 80s dark wave / death wave bands like CHRISTIAN DEATH and BAUHAUS. Blood is all around… War is not over yet… Are you sick enough? EXTINCTION AGENDA / OPPRESSION – Split tape (Nihilistic Holocaust) Thrash metal is the basis for all extreme music. Back in the 80s thrash was the king of extremity with pioneers in the names of METALLICA, SLAYER, SEPULTURA, PARADOX, KREATOR, DESTRUCTION, ASSASSIN, RAZOR and the list could go on to eternity… Some hurried enough to declare that thrash is dead nowadays, but the bands in this split try and achieve to prove them wrong. EXTINCTION AGENDA present here their same titled demo ’05; an assault of malicious metal with guts and loads of extremity, still with respect to the roots. OPPRESSION’s demo ’05 “T.P.A.S.” is another hit between the eyes with its furious and angry metallic thrash storm. The vocals of OPPRESSION have a more punk attitude (imagine sth. like a crossover voice, e.g. S.O.D., D.R.I. etc.). If you are into thrash, dig this limited edition tape. INCINERATOR: old school thrash band from Sweden dating back to 1995. Here you will get their demo ’03 re-released. They feature ex-HYPNOSIA, ex-NOMINON and current SARGATANAS REIGN members in their camp. VACARME is about old school death metal. They were formed in France back in 1991 but managed to record their demo of obscure death metal and brutal mixture only in 2004 and with a new line up. Strange story, ain’t it? Most tracks of the 2004 demo are here. LETHAL formed in 2004 is and old school thrash band. They use simple, but energetic and full of speed riffs along with typical thrash vocals of the mid 80s. Their demo ’04 “Final Punishment/ Stellfire Invasion” is what they gave for this comp. RE-CREATION is a death/thrash band formed in 1996. The guitars are leading towards black metal in many parts. I find the result rather interesting. The most interesting thing with this release is the feeling of the old days it has and the skilful players (especially the drums kick ass!!!). The riffs are sickly slow and the vocals really deep and haunting like coming from the fuckin’ grave. This limited edition tape contains 5 demonic songs that will haunt and possess you. I will be looking forward to their full length. http://www.listen.to/blackbleeding [email protected] SWAMP – Praise the Goat (DIY) I am very pleased to know that these heralds of the ancient flames come from Ioannina, Hellas. “Praise the Goat” is a limited to 200 pieces cassette with 4 tracks of ancient death / black massacre of disease, perversion and ultimate sickness. I like to hear such bands that respect their roots and bands like CELTIC FROST, KREATOR, POSSESSED and the likes. Of course some influences from the mighty Hellenic scene of the 90s and bands like VARATHRON are present too. I hope to listen to a full length of them soon. CORPORAL ABUSE is Guillaume’s from PULMONARY FIBROSIS vehicle to spread his parasitic sickness and destroy every cell that’s left in your brain. TAKASHI OHKAWA is one of my favourite noise creators in the known universe. His soundscapes have really travelled me to other cosmos’. NECROSE VAGINAL is closer to a grind attitude (and maybe the main reason for this review being here-I really keep my noise preferences out of SEWER). MANGENERATED end this manipulation of the senses with extreme harsh stuffs. Most of you readers will think this is shit here. I only suggest it if you are a grind maniac with open enough horizons to reach the borders of noise and grind without hesitations. Then you will surely enjoy this fabulous to me release. With gurgling vokills MOBILIZER pave on the SUFFOCATION ways to spread sickness. The beatdowns are really groovy enough to make you jump, while there are some technical parts too. The layout is great in its glossy coloured paper and contains full lyric sheet (all songs in their native language). Take the knife and cut your tongue. He does grind/ noise/ death releases through his label and just trades them or anything. He is in it for the fun, not for money, game or fashion. This is what I really appreciate. I urge you to contact this guy! BESTIAL VOMIT is a raw grind band that gets the listener back to the 80s with their disrespectful noise. TAKASHI OHKAWA used several tracks in this split coming from his full length CD and several splits (w/ NAPALMED, GRIMNESS, SMERSH, HINYOUKI etc.) showing the landscapes he has in mind and puts to sound are neverending. Great release in its genre.
