Severed Sympathy have been through many stages during its formation. People have come and gone apart from the three founders, David, Simon and Chris, who have always been loyal members of the band. Previous drummer / singer Philip Rawlinson and drummer James Fantham entered and left the band before Ashley became lead singer and also before Dave Aldridge completed the rhythm section as the final band.
Philip and James are now both happily settled in fellow band, Melophobia. Ashley sat in on many band practises and was working with lead guitarist of Melophobia, Daniel Wahnon, before becoming a finialized member of SS in late 2003.
Dave Aldridge joined SS in early 2004, with his amazingly talented and laid back approach to drumming. A very hard man to get hold of when you need him, Dave tries his best to practise with the band as often as he can. Although with as much talent as this man has, lack of regular practise with the group doesn't seem to be a problem.
Dave, Simon and Chris, the three original members, have been through all the stages of SS, although the change throughout the band has been major, as these original three are all finding their own writing styles, as the band progresses. |
