Although there is no "level of training" at which a girl attains certain silks, in online Gor silk levels have been created to determine a girls advancement. In Seven Quivas in times past, our slaves weren't adorned with silks but for 'visualization purposes' were clad kajir, meaning they wore the four articles of the Tuchuk slave, those being; the Curla, a red cord tied about the waist, the Chatka, a long , narrow strip of black leather, passing over the Curla and drawn between the girls legs and pulled tight to pass over the Curla at back, the Kalmak, a short sleeveless vest of black leather, and lastly the Koora, a strip of red cloth, matching the Curla, wound about the head like a kerchief, to hold the hair back. They may also have been seen wearing a short leather riding skirt, slit along the left side to their waist in place of the Chatka. Some words on Silks To be sure, of course, the color of the garment, on Gor, would not be likely to be white, but, commonly, red or yellow. White, on Gor, is a color commonly associated with virginity. It is, accordingly, worn by few slaves. Guardsman of Gor Book 16 Page 251 Simply speaking, on Gor there was a myriad of different silk colours, none of which stood as a rule for a girls level of training. A slave could be dressed as her Master wished, regardless of her training. " White Silk and Red Silk ", when used by slavers was to denote if a girl had been opened to Men. Similarly, the expression red silk, in Gorean, tends to be used as a category in slaving, and also, outside the slaving context, as an expression in vulgar discourse, indicating that the woman is no longer a virgin, or, as the Goreans say, at least vulgarly of slaves, that her body has been opened by men. Its contrasting term is white silk, usually used of slaves who are still virgins, or, equivalently, slaves whose bodies have not yet been opened by men. Needless to say, slaves seldom spend a great deal of time in the white-silk category. It is common not to dally in initiating a slave into the realities of her condition. Blood Brothers of Gor Book 18 Page 472 He, too, I suspected, like the others, had found me not without interest. Indeed, the first question he had addressed to me in this house, when he had unroped the blanket from about me, and I was before him, naked, my wrists manacled behind my back, was whether or not I was white silk. Had I not been I think he might then, even as I was, manacled and on the blanket, have put me to his purposes. Dancer of Gor Book 22 Page 169 Accordingly, I said, I should be sold in Ar. And, further, since I am white silk, I should not be used. My price will be higher if I am sold white silk. Captive of Gor Book 7 Page 261 As before, a girls silk colour bears no reference to her level of training as shown in the next quotes. Cernus turned to Caprus, who stood near him. Is she trained? he asked. No, said Caprus. She is Red Silk but she knows almost nothing. Assassin of Gor Book 5 Page 47 There is a stain of blood on your thigh, I said. My Master took my virginity, she said. You are now a red-silk girl, I said. Yes, Master, she said, I am now a red-silk girl. Explorers of Gor Book 13 Page 200 I had been opened, I thought. I was now red silk! Dancer of Gor Book 22 Page 204 Yellow Silks werent an "intermediate" level between White and Red, they were worn often by numerous types of slaves. She wore yellow Pleasure Silk, and, beneath her long black hair, on her throat, I glimpsed a silverish Turian collar. Nomads of Gor Book 4 Page 220 She came through the kitchen door, in the tiny slip of diaphanous yellow silk allotted to paga slaves, bells locked on her left ankle. She was doubtless returning to the floor after her rest, to freshen her for further service. I had not seen her before. She carried a vessel of paga. She was barefoot on the tiles. Hunters of Gor Book 8 Page 56 Low on her hips she wore, on a belt of rolled cloth, yellow dancing silk, in Turian drape, the thighs bare, the front right corner of the skirt thrust behind her to the left, the back left lower corner of the skirt thrust into the rolled belt at her right hip.
