Yet, another assignment. Incase you don't know, scratchboards are papers consisting of two layers, the paper, and the "whachamacallit" that's kinda of a substitute for the lead of the pencil. Instead of a pencil, pen, etc., you use a utensil specifically for scratchboards. You would scratch the boards just like we all do with our quarters when we want to see a prize in some type of contest (Win 5, McDonald's, etc.). Two main utensils are used, a sharp one, ideal to make lines, and a mini-spoon-shaped one, used for broad strokes. The white you see would be the lower part which is the paper itself.
Scratchboards are really annoying and hard to manage. But when you get the hang of it, and see that this medium has a very distinguishable appeal to it, you would appreciate it more.
This Killarmy one is my favorite one, and was the hardest to do. Oh, yes, incase you don't know, and if you don't, you don't know me, I "love" Wu-tang Clan. Don't get me started cause that's another site in it itself. Killarmy is one of the most thorough groups from the Wu family, which I feel proud to be a devoted fan. They, and the next group (and the next one, even though they get good praise, still) are VERY underestimated in the hip-hop industry. But that's cool... |
