Setsuna Mudou:
The reincarnated form of Alexiel. He is in love with his own sister, Sara. However, he soon learns that that is the least of his problems when demons and angles and ? start appearing around him. After he finally confesses his love for Sara, and they are united, Sara dies in trying to save him. Then his power awakens and it leads to the destruction of Tokyo. Later he learns that he is the Messiah, the only one who can save the human beings from being terminated from God's program. After the death of Sara, he travels to Hades to recover her. However his own body dies due to an "accident" so instead of returning into his own body finds himself in the body of Alexiel when returning. Raphael brings him back to his own body after the "mishap" in hell. He is then contacted by Zaphikel who is the leader of the Rebellion. When he learned that Sara was to be put on trial he goes to Heaven alone to rescue her. After the first failure in the attempt to save her, which left Zaphkiel dead he returns to Anagura only to find Rociel had massacred the place. He loses one of his wings and is now unable to heal himself. He is found by Michael in Heaven.

"Wing Cutting": A sentence for angels who commit high treason (and any other reasons that the High Council believes to be necessary) Wings are the nerve center for angels and the place where they feel the most pain. When the wings are cut off the angel loses all astral power. With the loss of astral power the body loses all defense towards external infection and starts to rot. The angel gradually rots until it reaches the brain and wander as a deformed shape. In the end they turn into ghouls.
Anima Mundi
The rebellion army against the government of Sevothtarte and Metatron in Heaven. Headed by Zaphkiel and other members of the Thrones, as well as those who are I children, and other working groups in Heaven. They have tried to oust the current government by assassination and placing informants within the private living quarters of Sevothtarte and Metatron, but have failed. Welcomes "the Messiah" as a leader to head their rebellion.

Sara Mudou:
Setsuna's sister, and is in love with Setsuna. She dies after saving Setsuna from a blow by Kirie. Her soul is sent to hell since she has loved her own brother. However, her soul is then taken to heaven by Zaphikel. Wakes up in the body of Jibril when Metatron takes out the needle out of Jibril's body, but she is blind when she awakes. Meets Raphael and he helps her get out from Sevothtarte's palace. Raphael tells her that she will stay blind as long as she denies the fact that she is Jibril. She is currently held hostage by Sevothtarte, and is scheduled to be put on trial for falling in love with her own brother. After the entire trial she comes back to life by Raphael's powers. 
Sakuya Kira:
A elder brother-type figure to Setsuna. But in reality he is the soul inside Nanatsusaya, a sword that only Alexiel could wield. He does not remember who he was before he was placed within the sword. He lost his original form (of a sword) at the final battle between Alexiel and Rociel, but after being showered by Rociel's blood, he (?) is able to live in spirit until the mark of the blood on his body disappears. He has been looking over the reincarnates of Alexiel's body and habits the bodies of those recently dead with their consent, and performs their last wishes for them. He has been "Sakuya Kira" for 11 years. The God Dragon Jade believes that God's program for Alexiel has started to alter after he had actually killed the reincarnate of Alexiel a life before Setsuna's instead of leaving her to suffer through her usual violent and gruesome deaths. The Japanese sword that he acquired at the same time is sealed in the blood of Rociel, and he summons it by using his own blood. When Setsuna slashes the earth in Sheol, the form of Nanatsusaya changes and he feels as though someone is summoning him. Goes down to Hell for he fears that Setsuna is in danger. His soul is actually that of Lucifer, the Demon Lord. He is starting to remember some bits of his past...when Rociel attacked Anagura he is killed while trying to save Setsuna.
Yue Katou:
He was Kira's best friend among the drop outs. A drug dealer while alive, but his body gets taken over by Rociel. However from his drug habits, he is able to come out from Rociel's power at certain points. He also has a very strong psychic powers that is hidden. He is killed by Setsuna (who is taken over by Alexiel when Rociel "kills" Kira). He becomes Setsuna's guide in Hades to take him to Ygdrassil. There Setsuna learns that Katou was abused both physically and mentally as a child and is unable to trust people. He later becomes one of Alexiel's "follower" by taking her feather. He then sleeps after getting Setsuna out of Hades. He is the "Messiah" that has arrived on Earth after Setsuna's body had died. Since his own body was lost, Uriel creates a body for him from the seed of Ygdrassil. He was able to change his face into the likeness of Setsuna due to his body still being "formed". Because he has become Alexiel's minion and the same astral nature, he has three wings. He is the only one who can become Setsuna's shadow. He along with Uriel trick Raphael into a trap and makes him bring Setsuna back to life. He becomes missing when Anagura is shattered but later reunites with Setsuna in Heaven. 
Alexiel:
Was one of the two highest angels in Heaven and have 3 wings. (Zaphikel believes that she and Rociel is born from the same ancient times of Adam Kadmon and thus related to him somehow, and the 3 wings are from dividing the 6 wings that he posesses). She had supposedly loved God, but God did not love her and only favored her twin brother Rociel. She turns against God after angels strike the Gehenna Empire breaking the peace treaty. At the final battle she seals Rociel into the depth of Earth, but is captured by the angels of God's Army. She is then punished for her crime, and her soul reincarnates as a human in an endless loop where she is to die violently and live in unspoken agony. She is known as the Organic Angel (the meaning of this title and Rociel's "Inorganic Angel" is yet unclear).She is actually trying to kill God since she and Rociel will never be freed from the "hunger" unless He dies (what this "hunger" is have not been clarified yet). She had promised with Rociel long ago that she will kill him when he starts to go insane, but she couldn't bring herself to do it when the time came and only sealed him instead. So now she is using Setsuna as a mean to fulfill that promise. She also tries to bring forth the Seventh Prophecy by trying to conceive Lucifer's child, and when failed to do so tries to kill him. She reveals that she has been using Kira (Nanatsusaya) for she knew that he will one day remember who he was and will stand in the way of Setsuna.
Rociel:
Twin brother of Alexiel and holds the title of "Inorganic Angel". He was the highest angel until Alexiel sealed him. He is brought back by Katan, a Cherbium who he had given a body long ago. He plots to kill Sara who has taken all of the attention from Setsuna and thus keeping Alexiel as "Setsuna" instead of reverting to her true self. He incoporates Ruri Saiki's body into his, and takes on her form to lure Sara. Later he also takes the bodies of a friend of Kira, as well as Yue Katou. After the destruction of Tokyo, and the stoppage of time by Adam Kadmon he returns to Heaven to regain his throne as the highest of the angels. During the assassination attempt he reveals that he is able to use the Time magic that only Adam Kadmon was known to have possessed and reveals that he had inherited Adam Kadmon's blood. He also reveals at this time that he does not even know how to kill his own body. His body seemed to have become younger in age from the time that he had created Katan. In Alexiel's flashback an older Rociel is seen telling her that he is slowly becoming insane and that the body that Alexiel had given him had started to fall apart as well. Makes Alexiel promise him at the time that once he does become insane that she will kill him.

Zodiac Angels
12 Angels who are powerful Magicians that guard the gate to Atziluth. They are: Malahidael, Asmodel, Ambiel, Manuel, Verchiel, Hamaliel, Zuriel, Barchiel, Advachie, Hamael, Canbiel, Barchiel. The Enoch branded on their body is required to open the gate.
Sevothtarte:
The true leader of Heaven in the absence of Rociel and uses terror to surpress any dissent and rebellion against him. One of the Seven Great angels, and is called "The White Angel." He has power over Metatron. After Rociel's return his standing is in danger so he sends Dobiel as a spy and later as an assasin to Rociel, but he fails. No one has seen his full face, and seems to blame humans for his face and intent on destroying them. He was the one behind the incapcitation of Jibril and the setup of Zaphikel which lead to the death of Anael. His true identity is Laila. At the trial of Jibril all of his lies comes out in the open.
Metatron:
Though a child, he is the highest angel and claims the title of Great Seraphim (one of the Seven Great angels) until Rociel's return. He has the power to see the future in his dreams. He always carries around a stuffed rabbit that he talks to and it seems to talk back to him. He had a younger twin brother who died at birth named Sandalphon. He and his twin Sandalphon was created by the "White Ones" to oppose Rociel and Alexiel when Rociel had started to go insane. Rociel calls them the "Second Raving Children" and that God is making the same mistake again by creating them. His conscious becomes surpressed after Sandalphon gets unleashed and takes over his body.
