Useful Information
This page is dedicated to those who are new or unfamilliar with the nocturnal world of the undead. Be welcome, Neonate. Rest, read and learn, for knowledge is power and power is precious in this World of Darkness, this world of the Kindred.        ~* Seth Archmangus *~
First, I will explain the 'dot' system used. In Vampire, the number of dots for a given item reflect a level of knowledge, skill or aptitude.

One dot = Poor

Two dots = Average

Three dots = Skilled

Four dots = Expert

Five dots and higher = Mastery
In themselves, they may be a bit generic, but allow a number of 'combinations' in order to determine capabilities. Attributes are always the 'base' for any combination. For example:

-Fast drawing a weapon; Dexterity + Firearms

-Hot wiring a car; Intelligence + Repair

-Making a motivating speech; Charisma + Leadership
  -
Knowing if a con is lying to you; Wits + Subterfuge
An explanation of Attributes:
Physical; Define a character's body.

Strength = Raw muscle power.

Dexterity = Speed, nimbleness, flexibility or coordination.

Stamina = Endurance, health, physical and mental toughness.
Social; Delineate character's appearance, charm and ability to interact with society.

Charisma = Personality, charm and influence.

Manipulation = Self-expression and getting others to do what you want.

Appearance = Visible grace, beauty and appeal.
Mental; Define a character's cerebral capacities as well as the ability to think, learn and react.

Perception = Ability to observe the environment.

Intelligence = Grasp of facts and knowledge, ability to reason, solve problems and evaluate the situation.

Wits = Ability to think on one's feet, to react quickly to a certain situation, cleverness and gullibility.
Almost any number of combinations is possible for a given situation. In any combination, the total number of dots you have in the skills needed, add to your 'Dice Pool' A dice pool is simply the number of dice rolled to determine how well you did. In the first example, let's say your character has a Dex of 3 and a Firearms of 2, hence you would have a dice pool of 5. Obviously, the more dice one has, the better a possible outcome will be

Using Willpower
  1. A Willpower point can be used to give you one automatic success in an action. Only one point may be used this way per turn.
  2. You can use a point to resist doing something on instinct.(ie: Running from sunlight, fire.)
  3. A Willpower point can be spent to temporarily offset a derangement
  4. A Willpower point may be spent to help offset the ravages of Frenzy
