| My earliest memories of show dogs was a birthday present "Gay" (Wargundy Gay Glamor) a Collie Rough. At the age of 16 I moved from country West Australia to Perth to start on a career in Veterinary Nursing. "Gay" was joined by "Bridie" a Belgian Shepherd Groenendael (CH Sonachora Duchess). My parents bred Belgians and needed a show home for this girl. At the same time the vet I worked for had a gold Tibetan Terrier "Asti" (Kokalege Grace) and asked me if I would like to show her to her Australian Champion title, which I did, winning many In Groups along the way. When she was mated to Ch GrantonThe Warlord I was given "Cardi" (Yackatoon Gay Bicardi) a little Tibetan of my own (a gift in the true Tibetan way) since "Cardi" came into our home my true Tibetan love affair started. "Cardi" excelled at obedience and agility and went on to become Australias first obedience titled Tibetan Terrier - Yackatoon Gay Bicardi CD. She also won a number of Class in Groups as well. I then imported from New Zealand "Joshua" Charlemagne The Sting. He also had a real love for agility and obedience. "Joshua" and I made a short trip to New Zealand in 1989 to compete at Tux National Dog Show where he won Best of Breed. He remained in New Zealand with his breeders to finish of his New Zealand title. "Joshua" is also a record holder for the breed winning Best In Group at Perth Royal Show in 1992 under Mr H Ito (Japan). He won many Best In Groups in his show career and consistently won Veteran In Groups. He was still winning as a 10 year old against younger competition. My daughter Breanne came along in this period and at 7 years of age wanted a show dog of her own. She obtained a Long Coat Chihuahua Aztecian Apatchy Princess which she showed to her Australian Champion title. (Ch Aztecian Apatchy Princess) As she was entering into the Toy ring I decided to get a Japanese Chin to "keep her company" in the ring. Enter Mingdon Oko San, who won many Class In Group & a Baby In Show prior to back injury and illness ending his show career at the tender age of 8 months. See more of our Japanese Chins on their own pages. We have travelled interstate with the dogs and had many good wins including Best of Breed Sydney Royal, Best of Breed Toowoomba Royal as well as many Best In Groups, Class In Group and Class in Shows. 1999 saw us move from suburban Perth cross the country to very rural Queensland (some 5300 km's) This allowed me to breed more and for the dogs to have a lot more room to run, paddocks etc. They have all certainly adapted well to the country lifestyle. As a gift to my daughter Breanne on leaving Western Australian, Joan Baldwin (Sarujo Lowchens) gave her a little chocolate Lowchen bitch "Whisper" (Sarujo Whiisper on the Wind) Breanne and "Whisper" made a formidable team, wining many awards, including Best of Breed Toowoomba Royal 1999 when "Whisper" was 7 months old (14 enteries). "Whisper" became our foundation bitch and has proven her worth by producing some top winning pups for us, including Ch Sesukan Lil Bugaboo, Ch Sesukan Lil Screamin Jet (see more on Lowchen page). Breanne went on to become one of Queenslands top winning Junior Handlers. Consistently being placed in Pal Heats as well as at many other competitions. In her final year as a Junior Handler she won the State Pal Junior Handler Final under Miss Michelle Fisher (Victoria). Look at Breanne handlers page for more photos of her and some of her charges. Breanne is in demand as a handler and I am very lucky to have my very own "professional handler". We are trying to breed healthy, happy, well adjusted dogs in a rural loving environment. Please feel free to contact us with any questions regarding any of our breeds or dogs. Browse our pages and enjoy looking at our dogs as much as we do. |
