Decisions
From the beginning we were given the ability to choose. In being able to choose we were faced with deciding sin or righteousness. Our knowledge of right and wrong is our ability to have awareness to Truth. Our ability to recognize good and evil coincides with the Ten Commandments where it (Ten Commandments) is righteousness made formal for us through laws so we may further recognize good and evil. The Ten Commandments themselves shows that there is evil. These Commandments are almost born in us because we can decipher and feel the difference between good and evil. Jesus is Truth and Love but more than just understanding Truth but embodied It. Imagine seeing Him through the Spirit and one might see a literal existence of pure love and Truthfloating Spirit, which emanates Love to others so that when we share that love with others, we are also sharing Him. It Is written that one must live in the Spirit in order for the One who raised Jesus from the dead to raise you. And a mind set on the Spirit is life and peace whereas a mind set on the flesh is death. A mind set on flesh is hostile to God for it does not subject itself to the Laws of God. However, if the Spirit of God dwells in you then you are of the Spirit. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, then though you are dead in the flesh, your Spirit shall live because of Righteousness. And it is through His Spirit that dwells in you that brings you life. [Romans 8:6-11] It is also written that a mind set on flesh is death but a mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. I have learned this in my own experience for when I found that my mind was not focused on God, I felt a lot of torment and suffering. And the devil recognized this torment and actively used it against me until I turned to scripture and began to commit my mind in addition to my life and soul to God. If we would only look at our own lives and experiences through His Spirit, then we would see His Truth and Love. We need not look far to see His Light. And when we begin to feel that Love we must grasp it and commit ourselves to that Truth so that we may grow in It. Thinking about free will confuses people. They ask how can there be both Gods Will/Destiny and our own free will. How is it that we can make change and people can do things that are bad? Ultimately there is only one decisionGods will or not. I do feel that it is very black and whitedo you eat out or cook dinner and save, do you buy this house or that, do you buy this car or that, do you get new shoes or use what you have, do you wear these clothes to represent this or those close to represent that, do you make a joke to make fun of someone or do you not, do you send your child to this school and raise them as Christians or that school that does not, if you suffer do you easily choose to end your life or do you not? It is understandable that because of these entire decisions one can see life as very gray and not so simple. But at the heart of each decision, the ultimate question remains the sameGods Will or not. The decision becomes gray if you view your will and your life separate from the Will of God. For if you view your life and will as one with God, then your decisions about life and all its details are already decided. One cannot have both Gods Will and their own. For it is written that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. It is also written that you shall love the Lord your Godthis also means above yourself. Decisions are gray if you view your life separate from God so choose God from the beginning. Always strive to choose Righteousness for it is through His Righteousness that our Spirits will never die.
