More poetry
Where Dwells the Shadow.
Coalesce with lies
to shroud my eyes
and sink into the night
No other where
from here to there
is solace like the dark
To build the walls
in mazements halls
a lattice work of glass
that mis-direct
and imperfect
so discerning eyes will pass
for no keen eye
can yet descry
but ought a masquerade
becomes a mask
a simple task
to push me far away
from bloody hands
and spite's demands
that rip away what's me
tis in my mind
where men are kind
that I must hide within
for though I cry
no help is nigh
there's nowhere else to flee
And why fight the dark?
when like a lark
it banishes the day
A luring song
where I belong
until I fade away.
