PLASTER OF PARADISE-Links To Other Cast/Brace Sites

Bulletin To Our Readers Ungodly o'clock, Saturday morning The Headline: PLASTER OF PARadISe and Orthopedic Art Gallery are back on line. What Happened Host1 had no bandwidth limitations when I selected it in January. I have no idea when that new condition appeared. They just told us we were going to be locked out in a few days (click here to read their letter). And last Monday evening all the ~caster sites at host1 ceased to be. Host1 won't let us pay to put up forwarding links, nor will they return any of our files. Such is the nature of this unregulated, frequently unprofessional industry. It's pointless to get angry, or to retaliate in any way. Host1 brought us to this point, and now we shall get better than we ever could have on Host1. I just wish they'd had the class to give us more warning, give us a chance to download files on FTP, even if browser access was blocked, and allow us to put up a link page in place of every home page that was posted at host1/~caster. What I am doing about it now, and what I hope to do in the future The Orthopedic Art Gallery has a temporary site at Geocities. We expect to restore all ~caster sites on one web server by September We are planning to have a mirror or all the ~caster site on an additional budget web server by October (that's two complete copies of all the ~caster sites on two entirely different web servers). In October or November I am going to register a domain name (such as www.caster.com) for all the ~caster sites. And looking to the distant future, it would be great if the ~caster sites could reside on two Pentium computers in my office, connected by an ISDN or T-1 connection to the Internet. Then no I.S.P. would have any influence upon us. None of these improvements will cost you a nickle. However, I am just a working guy, so donations to the cause will make some of these events happen sooner. (Don't you hate it when I whine?)
