What up, name's Hilli
And my one desire is to slow down your computer

Credit for the South Park Hilli pic and the purple Fantastical Argon logo on the index page goes to Damian Jordan, who has a very beautiful English accent

I appologize for how lame the pic in the middle is.  I started drawing the Fantastical Argon cartoon when I was about 17 and continued it on and off through my *higher education*.  It depicts the struggle between two coexisting, conflicting frames of mind, and subtly follows actual chemical properties of the periodic chart.  When you're sitting up at 2 AM, drowned with a ton of work to get done for class, with something like three quizzes and four lab reports to type up, the last thing you think about is how fascinating and powerful chemistry is.  That's one thing I wanted to portray in FA.
And me--I recently graduated from UCLA with five honors and a BS in Neuroscience. I'm applying to medical school (a year-long application process). During that year I would like to serve in Americorps, for which I'm currently applying (a fellowship). I went to high school in University High in Irvine. For a while I worked in a lab doing research in temporal lobe epilepsy, which I finished two years ago.  I have been involved in millions of groups on campus, including having served on the board of Phi Eta Sigma, the Care Extender internship program at Santa Monica Hospital, and the UCLA Neuroscience Undergraduate Society, which we started last spring. I also used to tutor biology and teach horseback riding. As a hobby I've always loved cartoons, comic books, and video games. I also love dogs and cats and music--I can't play any instruments but I like listening to them. I used to dance ballet and ride horses, and I love swimming.
For the most part, I dislike the media, and I have some personal issues with Microsoft. I also love literary and art analysis--my favorite poet is Poe, my favorite comic book is The Maxx (by Sam Kieth), my favorite cartoon is Futurama, my favorite movie is South Park: blah blah blah and Uncut, my favorite book is Name of the Rose (by Umberto Eco) and my favorite dog is Stu, my Shih-Tzu.

I am the original crying minotaur.

I can cut tissue like you wouldn't believe.

I am a perfectionist.

My heart has been broken more times than I can keep track of.

And to love is not to like; and niceness is not kindness.

The picture on the front page is myself; I am split. This took me a long time to figure out.

I will take care of me.

Here I am playing Puzzle Fighter with my brother, Ron:

Oh yeah, some people have been asking me what kind of music I like. Well, like anyone cares...? But anyway, I guess a good way to put it is that I can't stand most pop and techno music and I like all kinds of rock music. I also like a lot of 80s music.  Two of my favorite groups are Radiohead and Erasure.  I used to like Eminem until suddenly Slim did that gayass duet with Dildo. Also, I recently started playing the guitar (photos soon?). I play a Fender standard strat. I suck long, hard, and slow at the guitar.

I'm not crazy about tenacious D but I managed to totally embarrass myself in front of Kyle.

Right now I live in LA with my roommates, Tiffany, Diana, and Erin, and I miss my best friends, Shin-Yi and Lily, and my pal Carl.  I just realized that none of my UCLA friends have webpages.
The following is Dain's ass:

Boring log page: what's that crazy ho up to now?

The only site by monkeys, for monkeys

Some non-monkey stuff I like

Thom's Diary (friggin hillarious! Even if you're not into Radiohead for some reason)

See it again for the first time: Gonads and Strife (This is even funnier than Thom's Diary)

Broaden your horizons with Mr. T

Red Meat (this is great)

Ashton kutcher is a hot piece of ass

The Maxx                    Julie     (This is one hell of an awesome comic book)
