Our History

The Seri Kubang Football Club was formed in early 1998's . We called our team Seri Kubang because our players are mainly from Seri Kuantan and Kubang Buaya. The first few members was Quek Ven Chian, Edward Chen, Ong Kah Joon, Lee Cheng Hong, Wong Choo Uei and Lim Pui Wei. This six person (Quek Ven Chian, Edward Chen, Ong Kah Joon, Lee Cheng Hong, Wong Choo Uei and Lim Pui Wei) started persuading their friends like Koh Kuan Chung, Goh Khoon Hock, Lai Han Ping, Chin Wen Lung,...etc to join them for friendly games. Futhermore, Wong Jing Siong which has the highest stats for body balance just shifted to SMSAB(our present school)was new in Kuantan so he did not have many friends. However, the first few members were kind persons and invited Jing Siong for a friendly match after witnessing the loneliness in him. Eventually, he got very interested playing with us and started joining us for games. Later on, he became a CLUB MEMBER. Goh and Koh join the CLUB later on after The Seri Kubang Football Club was formed in early 1998's. The noticing the unique in the CLUB. The CLUB soon have enough members to form a team and started collecting some money to buy the very first four football for the CLUB. The team laboured in training morning (mostly on weekends) and afternoon. By doing so, the team is qualified to play the very first match. Unfortunately, the team captain (Quek Ven Chian) is very very trifty person and complains about the match fee. But suddenly, our manager (Seong Chien Liq) was attracted to the strong spirit the team has shown and agree to sponsor for the fee. Later on, we played the match and obviously we lost. This is because we are lack of experience and exposure. The score was 3-0. Although we lost this match, we did not gave up and instead started practicing harder. The team continued having friendly matches more often to gain more experience. The first few members then joined an intensive trainig course at Taman Gelora. After a period of time, the team was ask to join a Football League match (which was organized by Anuar). The league required at least 11 players in field and 3 players as substitute. As a solution for lack of players, the team invited a few players like Lai, Adi and Jason. The first match started. In the first half, the opposition team scored againts us by a goal. After a few minutes, we scored (by player number8) back which makes it as a draw. In second half, we scored again (also by number8) which makes the score line 2-1. We were leading and confident that the victory was on our side. Unfortunately, we were over confident and the opposition team fired back at us by a thundering shot from the center field. Because of this, we've got a draw with the opposition team. We then continued the league and lost. The main reason was the team did not have enough stamina and a let down by Wong Choo Uei. A few months after that, the trainer from the training course invited us for another match which we did not turned up because of miscomunication and some other problems. In year 1999, the team spirit got even stronger. We were getting better and better through out the year. Although there was a big examination(PMR) in 1999 ,the team kept on the training. We trashed a team(Kalai's team) and a few more

In the new millenium, the team was getting stronger than ever. We were so semangat as many teams from other schools challenged us for friendly matches. Despite of the two main players transfered to other schools.they were Adi who scored colourful results in his PMR examination was transfered to "ASRAMA PENUH" school in Taiping while our No.1 goalie was transfered to a school in Seremban. Although we missed a good tackler(ADI) and a goalie,we managed to signed in two good players. They were BANANA MAN(Chan Guan Zen) and "Chilavert the Derek". At the end of the new millenium, we had a new training ground(SMART's field) which is not really far from the previous training ground and it is much more bigger than the previous one. We had been training everyday. Sometimes, we got the chance to play with other team which is obviously much more better than us but we never give up and we ended up winning the match (am kong 1).

Early this year (2001) our manager (Seong Chien Liq) resigns and replaced by the assistant manager (P.Sabesh). Recently, Harvinjit Singh has been appointed as SKFC publicity manager and webmaster. He also joined our training session to get thinner and fitter.
