This is the starship in the original series. The original starship Enterprise was launched in 2245 and went through captains Robert April and Christifpher Pike before Captian James T. Kirk finally took command. While Kirk was in command, the ship made many important first contacts with several species, explored serveral planets, discoved an exact duplicate of planet Earth, made contact with a lifeform claiming to be the ancient Greek god Apollo, and battled with the Kligons and Romulans on several ocasions.
The constitution class starship went through several refits, the largest of which included the upgrade of most systems and the replacemnet of the warp drive naceles and the bridge areas.
It was distroyed by Kirk shortly before its decommision when it was threatened by Klingon capture. |
