Everyday I walk along
Not listening to one another's song

Dear Roseman
Someone once told me I was a stranger here
Someone once told me there was nothing to fear
But now I see that is all gone at an instant
The world around me is unraveling in the distance

The Thankful Goodbye
Although this hasn't been the easiest
And I know everything seems rough
I know that I am not the smartest

I liked this poem alot because it struck me as good. By good I mean that it sounded like it had some practical love and concern for somebody else, and there is a clear description of growing up and becoming mature, atleast that's what I saw in the poem.
It's real honest and down to earth. Once again I can see tomorrow...that's cool. God bless your tomorrows!

Hey, i just read this now. You'd critiqued a few of my poems awhile back, and i just now got a chance to see some of urs. This one, by far, is the best i've seen anywhere on post poems. Though, i haven't read every single poem yet, this one is still the best.
Now to critique alittle, on the 12 line, i'd suggest taking out the "a" in front of kiss, it would flow alot better without that extra "a". The other thing is, second to the last line, you write "something that our internal candle has lit". Now i think it is a good line, but i think u should keep with the "time" theme u have goin for that stanza. So i'm just suggestin that u just change "internal" to somethin like "eternal". Not asking ya to change a whole lot, but changin it to a "time" related word really emphasizes everything, and still with out over doing it. Ohhhh, i used so many big words, i feel special...

Crossroad Of Life
Sometimes in life we come upon a crossroad
A journey we must hit upon on our own
We must look to our inner moral codes
And all of the things we have reaped and sown

Right now I am at that breaking juncture
Not sure of which way to turn
And no matter which I take my dreams will puncture
Maybe someday soon I will learn

How to make the right choices in life
How to do what is expected of me
How to not cause those around me strife
And how to retain all that is me

These are decisions we all must face
The ones that shape us into what we are
The ones that show us our place
So that in life we do not stray too far


Following My Own...
How foolish do I feel and seem
To forever follow the footsteps to my dreams
To believe that all these things will be

Depression Abyss
My soul is hurting and I don't know what to do
Something is always killing me through and through
What can I do to make this go away?
My heart has remained here because it doesn't want to stray

For once in my life I want happiness
For it to be real and true blissfulness
No matter what I do to achieve this
I always seem to come up amiss

Dreams of mine will never come true
It does not matter the things I do
Sometimes I sit here, thinking and wonder
My mind has a million and one things to ponder

Hearts have not opened up to me
Why can't anyone ever see?
What they do to those around them
Hurting, painful, cruel as men

Sometimes I wish I was never born
Never having these horrible memories of forlorn

Destruction Of Goodness
We are the best on this planet
The most intelligent of all creatures
We can read, write, and go on the 'net'
And we are the loudest and longest preachers

Yet our world is in shambles
Many lives are ruined by others
Everything is ruled by the big company brands
We have lost sight of our sisters and brothers

Poverty, stravation, and sensless killing
Keep going on and on
It seems like true peace is never willing
To come out and continue on

Ethnic wars, or any type of violence
Can be seen everywhere
Can nothing break the silence
Of the injustice that has become bare

Savages have always lived here
They are within everyone of us
But total violence is not far from here
I guess I have lost all of my trust

I guess 'true pacifism'
Will never come to be
How can we withstand all of this critism
That our eyes are so blind to see

We must all become like the animals
That inhabit this 'magnificent' planet
After all, we are all mammals
We just have to can it

All of our wants and needs
Seems so very important to us
We are all like the leeches that feed
On anything that is given to us

When we truly see how wrong we are
Only then will it happen
That we can put an end to this mar*
So peace and paradise can finally happen

But probably when we attain this true happiness
We will not know how to deal with it
We have to all show through our kindness
That we can handle all of it

It is truly unfortunate our society needs the poor
And that governments will only do things to better themselves
What more can I do for
Is the never ending question we ask ourselves.

Everyone knows their roots
I feel like I am being kicked by a million boots

My past is nothing at all

Self-Centered Pack
I am tired of being left out
I am so pissed I could shout
Everyone is so self-centered
No one can ever be mentored

I am tired of being on the outside
I will no longer abide
By these so-called rules and regulations
It feels something like segregation

People always look down on those different then themselves
Why can't we just be ourselves
No one wants to do new things
If we did we would all be kings

Instead we are cowards in hiding
Never ever wanting to siding
Never making decisions for ourselves
Not caring for anyone but themselves

We are all being really really selfish
And no one ever misses
A chance to be cruel or mean
Our over-all kindness is very lean


Worthless & Invisible
I am sitting
In this pit of despair
Not knowing quite what to do
Because all my thoughts and emotions are escewed

No one ever gives a damn
About how I feel when I'm down
All they care about is themselves
And they don't care about myself

What can I do to make my life any better?
I've tried doing those 'personal letters'
Nothing ever seems to work
So now my mind is going baserk!

Time and time again this happens to me
To most I am as worthless as a tree
My heart feels like it is no longer there
Why doesn't anyone ever seem to care

I could kill myself and everyone would probably rejoice
No one ever seems to hear my voice
My soul is hurting beyond all words
I know this sounds totally absurd

What am I to do?
All my joys seem so few
Nothing can help me now

Confused Emotions

True Paradise
Somewhere far beyond all of this
I find love and wedding bliss
Nothing is as wonderful
Because everything about is so beautiful

My heart races everytime I hear your voice
My head has made its enflaming choice
To take you in and keep till the end of time
The bells of happiness ring in their own chime

You know all of my feelings for you
You know all the things I do
For the sake of your happiness
That is the only thing that gives me true blissfulness

Forever you and I will be
Till the end of all greatness comes
Nothing will be as great
So help me stay withing Paradise's Gate

Wishing I Could Tell You
You tell me over and over
Te amo always - I love you always
But that is not all, so it is all over
You will never get that I will truly love you always

Somehow I have fallen in love with you
I am not quite sure how it occured
You always seem to make my hurts so few
And I know this all sounds absurd

I am not quite sure what to do
Will someone please help me?
Will someone please be with me to see this through
Your true love to me I shall never see

All of the things we have shared with one another
What did it mean to you?
Were we just pawns for each other?
Or was I just a game to you?

I am not sure what the answer to all of this is
I am hoping someone will come and reveal it to me
Nothing will heal this, not even a kiss
I love you and hope you will always love me

Wonderful Things
As each moment of the day passes by
I think of both you and me
My heart and soul both begin to fly
Hoping that my heart will soon see

All of the great things you have done for me
All of the love caring and devotion
Helping my heart be free
I have never experienced such emotions

You are my angel from above
Thank you for watching over me
I have never felt such love
From all things here to be

Hearts and love will go on forever
Yet flowers wither away
My heart stays with you forever
And never goes away


Passion Life
I find myself always wishing
Looking for all those miracles
Both big and small
Wanting them so much to be

For my heart has its desires
But none of its admirers
For this will be the story
With no hope or glory

Once upon a time, far far away
Hearts and dreams did not sway
From their true purpose and being
So one could easily find their meaning

For life is a game of my heart
So we may never again part
From those who mean the world to us
And from those who will show us

How to live our lives
So that my heart no longer cries
For I need this paradise
Ending with love, quite nice.
