You see it wherever you go. It goes on in your neighborhood, at the mall, at work, just about anywhere.  It�s not anything new, by far.  As a matter of fact, there is no doubt that it dates back to the beginning of time.  It�s socially accepted. Even encouraged! Older men dating younger women.

Now why is it that older men can date or marry younger women and society puts him up on a pedestal when there are so many women being shunned for dating younger men?  Is it still that much of a male dominated society for which rules are made to suit only the male population?  Is it truly against morals, ethics, etc. to be a woman dating a younger guy? 

In relationships where the woman is older, the woman is ostracized, but the younger guy is cheered in his conquest!  Sex with an older woman is a turn on to many.  You can look through the newspaper or watch tv and see that some female teacher has been busted for sleeping with her student.  Plus, there are the fantasies of having your lover dress up as a teacher.  Isn�t that out of wanting to simulate relations with an older authority figure?
Personally I had a four year relationship with a man 13 years my junior.  His family was against our relationship as were his friends, ex-wife and people at his work.  My friends however, knew that we were happy and that I was very content.  My old boss from my days in the Army, moved us into his house for companionship for him and to help us out until we were financially better off.  After 3 months of being there, my old boss  and his male friends (all of whom were over 50), started talking to my boyfriend about sending me on my way.  They told him I was way too old for him.  That I already had children and three marriages behind me.  He should, they informed him, be looking for a hot girl in her early 20�s.

Slowly they started taking him out to the clubs without me.  They told me I was crazy and needed psychological help.  This all came about because I had gotten into it with them and they told me to either leave on my own, or they would call the police and report me for statutory rape!  I sat there hysterically laughing!  I told them there is no way some cop is going to arrest me for statutory rape since my boyfriends was 25 years old!  The old men informed me that it was against the law for a woman my age to be messing with such a young guy. 

I endured another month of this before I left.  But not before I got to see why they truly wanted me out of the house!  They wanted my ex-boyfriend to take them to the clubs so that he could bring the young girls to them and finally back to the house.  They were on a quest for younger women, but had no chance in hell of doing so on their own and they knew it.  But, by societal standards that is fine.  And I was cast aside.

So, why is it truly ok for men and not women?  Maybe all women should turn their backs on older men for a while, give them a taste of what it feels like! Maybe even let them know.....Oh, I�m sorry, but you�re about my grandpa�s age, so I KNOW you won�t be able to keep it up!  Touche�!
