Project A.kon13 (May 31 - June 3, 2002)
05.31.02 ~ School was finally out! I got home around 12:30pm and finished packing before Michelle got here. We left at around 2:30pm for the Hyatt. During the ride there, Michelle and I talked the whole way, planning our weekend of what and what not to do. It was really nice seing her again ^_^ This is the first con where we made it on the first day! Definitely something to celebrate. I was amazed at how fast we got there! The hotel was packed with otakus, security guards, and...luggages! I had brought my black suitcase, a mini backpack purse, my Badz Maru mini purse for cosmetics and what not, as well as my costumes which I brought in hangers. I know this sounded like a lot, which was, but it wasn't so bad seeing how Michelle helped me carry some ^_^ The line to get our hotel room keys wasn't too bad. The receptionist typed in Michelle's last name but couldn't find it in their database. I was about to freak out thinking how we won't have a room even though we booked it months before hand. It turned out they had misspelled the name ~_~ Relieved, we headed towards the elevators, luggages and all. It was packed! We waited for about 10 minutes but still couldn't get on a single elevator, so, being the genius Michelle was, we hit the stairs ~_~ Let's just say, we walked 12 flights of stairs with our luggages, arrived to our humble room exhausted! After a few minutes of rest, we headed downstairs again to pick up our badges. I was so glad we had pre-registered because the line for badges was LONG. It was already a bit past 4pm. We looked for the Con Suite where a Sailor Moon get-together was held. To our surprise, we found Dayna and her Star Lights there! They were really nice and so much fun to be around. It was surprising how much they acted like the real Star Lights *.* I was going to glomp Taiki but was too shy to ^_^;; Michelle and I decided to check out the dealer's room afterwards. I have to say, there wasn't much that I was interested in. There were 2 different rooms set up as the dealer's room. Big, yes, but a bit unorganized. I was semi disappointed since I was looking forward in raiding it ^_^
