The Dark Council
Chapter Six
"Mark!" Rose screamed. She raced forwards to Mark. He was lying on the ground with his eyes closed, venom oozing out of his shoulder. His body lay like a crumpled flower on the hard stone floor. He looked helpless and, dead. "Is he...dead?" Rose asked close to tears. She lifted his head and held it in her arms and began sobbing silently. "No he's not dead. He couldn't be. although the poisoning does look bad." Andra said. "It sure does." Rose and Andra jumped and turned around to see Yuffie, now awake, looking at Mark with her arms tyed behind her back. "Hi!" She said cheerfully "Uh, would you please untie me?.." She asked. "You are our enemy, I think not." Mark said, and he weaky cast seeple on her agian. "Mark!!" Rose exclaimed "I thought you were dead!" "I will be soon, this is strong poison." Mark said. "But...you healed your self last time.." Rose said. "Perhaps." mark replied. He weakly raised his hand and waved it over his poisoned shoulder. Suddenly, His shoulder started gushing out poison. Mark cryed out in pain. Soon, his shoulder was healed up agian. Without any trace of poison in his body. "That was a close call." Mark said "Now back to business.." He looked over at the Gateway to Nothingness.. |

Cloud and the others walked through the forest silently. "I've been through here before,to get my sword." Cloud replied. "But it seems as if the forest has rearranged itself.." Cloud was right, the forest was different. Just then, Cloud accidently walked into a venus flytrap! It closed. "Cloud!" Everyone shouted. They knew it would be some time until it opened agian. "We can't just leave him." They all said. Just then, the venus flytrap burst open. Cloud had cut it open from the inside. "I guess I need to be more careful." He said and shrugged his shoulders. "Uh guys, we have company." Tifa said. Sure enough, the soilders had caught up to them. |

Emillie arrived at Wautia. It was quite. "I wonder were Yuffie is.." she wondered to herself. Then, a person ran up to her and said "You must be Emillie, sorry to disappoint you, but Yuffie isn't around." "Ok" Emillie said. She turned back to her boat when, Red XIII came running up to her. "She left without me." He said. "Ok, I'll take you to her, where ever she went. Do you know?" She asked Red. "Yes, she left with Cloud, Cid, Tifa, and Vincent to the Ancient Forest." Red replied. They both got into her boat, and set off. |

"Now," Mark said "If only we knew the words we could revive him now." Night came to the forest. It was Andra's turn to watch Yuffie and be look out. Mark had let him borrow his seeple materia in case Yuffie awoke. Rose was dreaming agian. He could tell. She looked even more beautiful while she slept. Mark was still studying the Gateway to Nothingness, when Yuffie woke up. "You're not going to keep casting seeple on me are you? Because I have materia of my own you know. I could counter it. I'm well...." She didn't even get to finish her sentence before Andra cast it on her agian. "She is an annoying one." Mark said as he exited the cave. "But, she could come in handy to give us information or make Cloud behave. Or...she may even know some way to get the words needed..." |

Sephiroth came to her agian. He was so beautiful...he was every thing and more. He was, perfect. "Hello Rose." He calmly said to her as he stroked her hair. "Sephy..." Rose murmered. "You are doing very well, all of you, tell Mark that I never forgot him and that he is important to me. Will you tell him Rose?" He whispered into her ear. "Yes Sephy, whatever you tell me, I will do." She replied dreamily. She was in a trance of some sort. Whenever she was around him she was. "Thank you Rose. You mean so much to me. I can't wait to see you, once I am revived. You are you close. The words will come to you. You donot have to seek them. Beware of Cloud, he is annoying and will stop at almost nothing. Just be patient." With that said, he kissed her gently and vanished. |

"Mark!!" Rose excaimed as she sat up in bed. Mark was at her side in an instant. "Mark! Sephy came to me agian! He told me to tell you that he never forgot you and that you are important. He also said something like "The words will come to you, you need not seek them. Just be patient." I can't wait untill we get him back." she said dreamily. "What's going on?" Andra asked. Mark just smiled and told him to go back to bed. They would have alot of waiting to do. |

Cloud and his friends had defeated the soilders that were following them and now, they were approaching the camp of their enimes. "We'll take them by surprise." Vincent said. "Kill them all." Cloud added. "Take the Gateway to Nothingness and then run." They had their plan. Cloud redied his sword when suddenly he heard something. It was Mark, talking to himself. Cloud looked through the bushes to see Mark changing form! He transformed into a wolf-like beast. With snake tails. His eyes were pits of fire, and his teeth and claws were black. "I have heard of this." Vincent said quitely. But not quitely enough. Mark heard them. he leaped onto Vincent and began tearing him apart. Vincent hrew him off and Cloud cast an ice spell on him. Mark howled. Suddenly, Cloud and his friends were surrounded by glowing red eyes. Like Mark's eyes. These were just normal wolves though. They chased Cloud and his friends away. Getting them lost in the forest at night. Running for their lives. Mark changed back once they were gone. He was bloody from the ice crystals. He walked over to his bed and healed as many as he could, but only rest would fully heal him. He slept. |

Cloud was lost. He had tryed to keep track of Mark, but couldn't. It was hopeless. It was dark and he was all alone in the forest. Unsure of what to do he set up a fire. Mark had really scared Cloud tonight. Cloud had thought that Mark was just a normal guy, well as normal as he was at least. Which wasn't really that normal at all. But he had turned out to be more like Vincent than anything else. cloud roled over and tryed to get some sleep. Finally sleep came, and so did Aeris... |
