The Dark Council Chapter Five
Andra wished his plane would go faster, but he was already asking for too much speed. Some how, he knew that Mark wasn't really in a hurry to get there. Rose seemed to be having fun. Flying high over the world, going fast and in a race of some sort. Anyway, Andra was knida having fun too. He couldn't wait until they got Sephiroth back. Somehow, he knew that with Mark as their leader, they WOULD revive Sephiroth. |

Cloud took a swing at the nearset solider, and chopped it's head off. But somehow, it was still alive! It kept fighting him as if nothing had happened at all. "Cloud!" he heard Tifa yell "They're too strong to fight! We need to summon someone!" She yelled. Suddenly, a man on chocobo appeared. Mark. He snapped his fingers and the soliders fell to their knees. Silent. "So I see you've found my little army. Tough aren't they?" Mark grinned. "Now, you all should really leave otherwise, you'll just have to die." He snapped his fingers agian, and the army sprang to life. Then a plane was seen overhead, it landed and turned out to be Mark's followers. "What's going on?" Asked Rose. "There's no time for an explanation now, we must hurry!" Mark said. Mark, Rose, and Andra rushed off into the forest. Little did they know that Yuffie was following them. |

"They've reached the forest." Sephiroth sneered. "I can already feel myself breathing." He laughed. "I will live agian!!!" |

As Rose walked through the forest, she thought of what she would do when Sephiroth returned. She would be so happy, but she wondered if Sephiroth would feel the same way about her, that she felt about him. The Ancient Forest was confusing. Beehives, bugs, frogs, there was always some trick to getting to the next level of the forest. Every now and then mark would look over his shoulder and say "hurry up!" Rose wanted to take her time. The forest was beautiful. But so was Mark. She blushed at that thought. He was quite handsome and brave and...much like Sephiroth. But she still liked Sepiroth better. Mark and Andra would sometimes have to destroy some enimes that got in the way, and seeing them fight together was like magic. They were amazing! But Rose had a sinking feeling that they were being followed... |

Yuffie tried to be as quite as possible. They still didn't know that she was following them. She had learned their names at least, Rose, Andra, and Mark. She sometimes saw Rose glance behind her back sometimes, checking to see if anyone was back there. She probably knew Yuffie was following them. It was hard to keep up with them without being seen, and be quite at the same time. They moved fast sometimes. As they got deeper into the forest, the enimes got harder too. That also made her slower, those pesky things that would get in the way, and wouldn't leave you alone until you killed them. She hadn't learned much so far, exept their names. She hoped that she would be able to at least survive until Cloud and the others got here. She didn't want to die. Yuffie suddenly grinned, she could throw her bomerang and distract them then, sneek up behind them and hit them on the head. Then she could steal their materia and make a run for it...Looking for the Gateway to Nothingness of course. She raised her bomerang.. |

Cloud had noticed that Yuffie was missing before anyone else. Eventually the fighting had gone on too long, so Cloud had gotten restless and summoned Bhaumut to take care of the remaining soliders. Only Tifa was severly injured. Cloud looked out over the pile of dead soliders and cursed. "They're way ahead of us now. We must hurry. Tifa, will you be alright?" Cloud asked. "Yes I think so." Tifa replied. "Cid, why don't you carry Tifa for alittle?" Cloud suggested. "I don't need help!" Insisted Tifa. But, Cid picked her up and they hurried off into the forest. With more soliders following them. |

Her bomerang in the air, Yuffie aimed and....a powerful sword came crashing down onto her weapon. Cutting it in half. She looked up into the eyes of Mark. "You couldn't fool me." He wispered. Then he quickly cast Seeple on her. Putting her into a deep sleep. He caught her in his arms and muttered "Foolish girl, thinks she can go off unnoticed. You were right Rose! There was someone following us!" He shouted to her. "You didn't hurt her did you?" Rose asked. "I merly put her to sleep, I should have killed her. But she will come in handy if Cloud gets too close. Now let's go." Mark said. They approached the cave, Mark was carrying Yuffie (aww) and Andra began to search for clues or a secret door, or something that would be hint to where the Gateway to Nothingness was. He found, nothing. Mark put Yuffie down and Rose watched her. Mark began searching the walls. He found a door. He pushed lightly against the door. It didn't bulge. He pushed harder. Still, the door did not move. He ramed into the door, and it slightly opened. He pushed and pushed it wasn't until Andra came and helped him that he got the door open. Mark stepped inside. He saw it with his own eyes, the Gateway to Nothingness. "There must be some sort of trap." he murmred as he stepped forwards he heard a strange noise. "Uh, Mark, look above you.." Andra whispered. Mark slowly raised his head and looked into the eyes of a gigantic spider! It's mouth was drooling venom and it looked hungary. It looked like it hadn't eaten in 100 years. This was not going to be an easy battle. Rose screamed as she saw it. That made the spider jump down to the floor. "Leave!" shouted Andra to Rose as he grabbed his sword and ran towards the monster. Mark picked up his sword and threw it at the monster. It screached in pain. It sounded aweful! The sword had peirced one of it's eyes. "Andra! aim for the other one!" Mark shouted. The spider raced towards Mark, and stuck a fang into his shoulder. He didn't make a sound, he just fell to the ground. Venom oozing out of his wound. Andra took this chance and flung his sword at the spider's other eye. It hit home. The spider screeched agian. A blood curdiling scream. Then lunged at Andra. He ducked and ran to pick up his and Mark's sword. He ran forward and cast a fire spell at the spider. It sreaked and burned to a black lump. |
