A Light in the Darkness
Chapter six
Rose woke up. It was christmas day. She flung off the bed covers and leaped out of bed. She ran to the window and gazed out across the land. It was covered in snow! "Weeee!" she exclaimed and jumped on Sephy, who was still asleep in bed. He groaned. "Wake up sleepy head!" Rose teased. She was acting like a child. Sephiroth opened one eye and looked at Rose. "What are you so exicited about?" he asked. "It's Christmas day!!" Rose roared, and she pulled the covers off of Sephy. "Get up get up!!" She demanded. Sephiroth yawned "fine, I'm awake." He slowly cralwed out of bed. Rose pulled him down stairs to the Christmas tree, which had presents underneath it. The mess from last night had been cleaned up. "Yeah presents!" Rose said happily. Sephiroth just yawned and ploped down next to her on the floor. Rose started fishing out presents and pileing them on Sephiroth. "Those are yours..and these are mine." She had already sorted them in 5 minutes. "Open the one from me first!" Rose demanded agian. "Ok, ok.." Sephiroth said. He tore open the present colored in bright wrapping paper. Inside the box was something black, and shaped like a circle. Sephiroth pulled it out of the box and looked at it amazed. Then he turned and looked at Rose. "Where did you get this?" he asked her. She just smiled and said "I knew that you'd like it, it's not actually the real thing..but it's cool anyway. Look closely inside it." She said. Sephiroth peered into the black orb. Inside was a mass of colors, it looked like the outerspace. There were all different kinds of colors swirling together to form magical figures. "It's..beautiful." Sephiroth told Rose. He smiled at her and pulled her into a tight hug. She grinned. "Now my turn!" She grabbed a box covered in black paper, with a silver bow at the top. "That one's from me." Sephiroth said sheepishly. Rose wasted no time, she tore it open. Inside was a figure of a black angel, her hands were cupped around a ruby. "Wow Sephy! It's so pretty! Thanks!"

After all the presents had been opened, Rose and Sephiroth got dressed and headed outside. Rose insisted that they make snowmen and snow angels. She ploped herself on the ground and made a perfect angel. "You try Sephy!" She said. Sephiroth didn't move. "No thanks, I'll pass." he said. Rose scooped up some snow and ran. Once she was far enough from Sephiroth, she made the snow into a ball, and threw it at him. It hit him right in the face! She fell over laughing. Sephiroth looked surprised. But he quickly recovered by scooping up his own snowball and throwing it at Rose as she was laughing. Soon, they had started a snowball fight. |

Yuffie peered out of the window in the 'dungen' and looked out at Sephiroth and Rose throwing snowballs at each other. "Wow, who'd athought? She really does love him." She said to herself. "Yeah, and she's gonna be delivering his kid." a nearby demon said. "Really? Oh no!" Yuffie replied. "More people like Sephiroth in the world..worse.. related to him!" She screeched. "He's not really a bad guy, he was just very confused." Replied another demon. 'Confused? No, he killed Aeris AND Cloud. Not to mention, he captured me. Now I have no idea who's still living!' Yuffie thought to herself. |

Vincent and Tifa were both outside on a walk on Christmas day, Tifa was wearing the ring that Vincent had gotten her. She loved it. As they were walking, Tifa looked up at Sephiroth's castle. "Yuffie's still up there. Poor girl, couldn't be free for Christmas. I wonder if they've killed her?" Tifa trailed off. Vincent was looking at her with a sad look in his eyes. "It is sad that we lost her, but let's hope for the best. I doubt that she's dead, she never gives up." Vincent concluded. He and Tifa continued walking. As they approached the mountain, Tifa heard some laughing. "What's that?" She asked. Vincent shrugged and they climbed further up the mountain, until they were at the walls of the castle. Vinent climbed the wall so that he could look over it, and what he saw surprised him. He montioned for Tifa to climb up. She peeked over the wall and was astonished. She saw Sephiroth and Rose throwing snowballs at each other, and laughing! She never imagined that she'd see Sephiorth laughing. Just then, Rose ran and jumped on Sephiroth, pushing him to the ground, and her landing ontop of him. Still giggling, she snuggled Sephy close. Then, Vincent stood on the wall and pulled out one of his handguns. "Vincent! No! Can't you see that he's enjoying his life?! Not to mention, he's not armed!" Tifa harshly wispered. "He's still our ememy" Vincent replied, and aimed, and fired. But, Sephiroth and Rose rolled out of the way just in time. Sephiroth quickly stood up and faced Vincent. "So" Sephiroth said coldly. "You decide to kill me on Christmas." |

The leader demon paced back and forth. He was awaiting an arrival. A new friend, a new puppet. He would twist the mind of the new commer, make him on his side. Yes, this new demon would do the trick, and send Sephiroth to his end. The one the other demons called master, he would destroy. |

Sephiroth stared and Vincent, and Vincent stared back. He raised his gun, Rose suddenly ran and stood infront of Sephiroth. "You owe me. I saved you. You and Tifa. Spare Sephiroth. He isn't even armed." Rose pleeded. "Rose, it's no use talking to them. He doesn't care." Sephiroth whispered under his breath. "Vincnet! She's right! We do owe her!" Tifa cried. Vincent lowered his gun. "Alright. Just this once, I will let you slip Sephiroth. But next time, you're mine." And with that said, Vincent leaped off the wall. Rose turned to face Sephiroth. He grabbed her into a tight hug. "I told you so" Rose muttered. "That was indeed a close one, I will have to take Masamune with me now even if I want to go into my own backyard." Sephiroth said sadly, and led Rose back inside. |

"I could've got him!" Vincent shouted. Tifa and Vincent where inside Tifa's house seated at the table sipping hot chocolate. "Yes, you could've but it just wouldn't have been right, and Rose did save us." Tifa said as she gazed into her hot chocolate. "Tifa" Vincent said as he grabbed her hand. "I love you. I will get rid of Sephiroth. Before he can harm you....or our soon-to-be-born child." Vincnet told Tifa. Her eyes began to water, and Vincent took the opportunity to kiss her. |
