A light in the Darkness
Chapter Five

Rose awoke to an empty and quite room. Sephy was gone. "Hum...he better have not gone off to another one of those fight clubs." She muttered to herself as she got up. She started walking towards the bathroom, when she heard a crash from inside. "What was that?..." She wondered to herself. She quitely opened the bathroom door and saw a demon with his claws wrapped around Sephy's throat! "You are wearing my patience very thin." It told Sephy. "Iiii...cann'tt." Sephy's voice was cut short because the demon's claws tightened around his neck. "You are a fool. The others are fools for not listening to me. I will never call you master!" The demon told Sephy. It let him go and leeped out the window. Sephy trembled and fell to the ground. "Sephy!" Rose screeched. "Sephy, what happened? Sephy?!" Rose yelled. Sephiroth's eyes fluttered open. "Rose, he want's to kill me. He wants to kill you. It's all my fault. I'm so sorry." Sephiroth said. "No, Sephy, it's not your fault! I chose to stay with you! I chose this life! And I will stat by you not matter what!" Rose told him. "Those demons are not so tough Sephy, you could easily take care of them. I know that you could." Rose said.
Tifa woke up feeling sick. She rolled over and threw up. "Ugh. I really need to stay home today." She told herself. "Vincent!" She called. Vincent opened her door and poked his head in. "Yes?" He said. Tifa gestured to the vomit on the floor and fainted. "Tifa!" Vincent rushed over and caught her before she fell off her bed. "Something is wrong with Tifa, and she won't tell me what." Vincent half said to himself. He slid Tifa back onto her bed, and went to get a cold cloth. He laid it on her forehead and sat down on the foot of the bed. "Could she be?..no she would've told me. I hope." Vincent asked himself. A few minutes later, Tifa opened her eyes and looked at Vincent, "What happened?" She asked him. "You passed out." He said calmly. "Is there something that you need to tell me?" Vincent asked her. "Well...." Tifa began.
Sephiroth sat at the table across from Rose. "Ok, I think that I should tell you what's going on." Sephiroth said to Rose. "That would be a wise idea. I like to be informed." Rose said. "Well now I feel bad." Sephy told her. "Begin" Rose demanded. "You remember Kazza? The demon that tried to kill you? Well, that was that demon's leader. They don't like the idea of me being their master. Even though I'm not really, I was, but not really any more. Anyway, his leader, Hiema, doesn't like me or my ideas. He refuses to listen to me and will go out of his way to disobey me. Now, he wants to see me dead, and if he doesn't get what he wants, he'll kill you to." Sephiroth finished. "How pleasent. Can't you just banish them or something?" Rose aksed "No, I couldn't help that they came up to earth. But the real problem, is them hurting you. I want to have this baby, and I want to have you. If Hiema even leaves one scratch on you, he will pay." Sephiroth said.
"Vincent, I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you earlier but...I'm pregnant." Tifa told Vincent. "I don't know how to handle this. Tifa, I would be a bad father and you know that." Vincent said. "Not true. You're very caring and you look out for me, so you would look out for our child as well. I know that you would." Tifa said. "So, you want to have it I'm assuming." Vincent questioned. "Yes, and you should too. I knew that I needed to settle down, but I didn't know that it'd be this soon. You should too." Tifa said. "Tifa, I I don't think that..." Vincent trailed off at Tifa's puppy face. "Allright. We'll try." He concluded.
It was Christmas time, and it was snowing. Rose was thrilled. She and Sephy had a fire going in the fire place, a giant tree set up and decorated, and the lights off. They were sitting on a couch by the fire snuggled under a blanket. "Sephy, this has got to be the best Christmas ever." She told him. "It could've been a little better." He said. Rose knew what he was talking about, those demons. There had been another threat, this one was that their first-born child was going to be killed. Although they were both worried sick, they were still having a good Christmas. Suddenly, one of the large glass windows burst, and a huge demon leaped through it. "It's another one of Hiema's followers." Sephy mumbled under his breath. Lately, he had been carrying Masamune around with him, and that was now a very good thing. Sephiroth snatched up Masamune and stood in a fighting stance. The huge winged demon stood with saliva rolling from it's mouth full of sharp fangs closely crammed together. It shifted it's feet at lunged at Sephy, actually it aimed for Rose, but Sephiroth being the skilled swordsman that he was, saw it coming. Where the demon was supposed to go, Masamune went, and sliced off the demon's head in one switch. "That was a stupid one." Sephiroth told Rose who was hiding under the blanket. "Is it dead?" She asked. "Yes it is dead." Demon blood covered the carpet. Rose leaped out from under the blanket and ran over to Sephy. "Are you hurt in any way? Did it touch you? Did you step on any glass?" Rose questioned. "No, to all of those questions. I'm fine. I'm just angry." Sephiroth told her. He put his arm around her shoulder and escorted her to their room. "I'll get a demon to clean this up. I need to keep an eye on you." He said.
Tifa layed in bed looking out the window at the snow. She wished that she was out there playing in it. She suddenly sat up "I bet Vincent's never played in snow." She said to herself. She hastily got dressed in warm clothes and pulled on a coat. She silently tiptoed up to Vincent's door. She opened the door a crack, and saw Vincent sitting on the foot of the bed already dressed in warm clothes and with his cloak on. "Hey! You ruined it! How do you always know what's going on?" Tifa said and stamped her foot. Vincent just smiled. "Shall we go?" He asked innocently. He stood and fasted a gun at his waist. Then, he put out his arm, Tifa stuck her's through his and they headed out.
A little demon swept up the pieces of glass from the floor in Sephiroth's castle. While another one cleaned the carpet of blood. Then, another huge demon came soaring through the window. The demon's stopped their work and stared. "So, this is what happened. Liggy was disposed of easily. I will have a stronger demon do my deeds next time." Hiema said, then flew back out the broken window.
