Chapter 9
As he closed his eyes, Greg felt and
knew that he probably going to have his life ended by a vampire draining his
blood from his veins and that his heart would stopped beating in any second.
When he opened up his eyes, he noticed that the vampire wasn't on top of him
anymore and saw Christina looking at something that seem to paralyzed her. He
didn't took any chance once he got up, Greg ran towards Christina to get her to
safety behind a bushes.
Once he did, Greg saw the vampire was fighting one of his friend. Buffy was
blocking one of the creature punches before she hit him on the
side of the face, which made him fell on the ground. Greg noticed that her stake was on the ground, which probably felt off her jacket when she took the
vampire by the collar to get him off of him. He knew that Buffy was going
to need it big time. As he reached for the stake, someone's foot stepped on Greg's hand with forced which made him screech for pain. He looked up and it
was another vampire who probably an ally of the one who was fighting with Buffy.
"Pitty mortal! No helping and definitely, no giving the stake to the Slayer!".
The vampire said as he lowered his head
towards Greg. Out of nowhere, a foot came flying by and hit the vampire's face.
Greg saw a hand, which was reaching at him, and he was glad to see who save him
again.
"Thanks for the stake and now go back
to safety and look after your date." She said as she ripped the stake out of
his hand. "The others and myself are going to take care of the other
vampires, alright?"
"Okay now!" Buffy screamed at the vampire who just steeped on Greg's
hand. "Did your mom ever told you not to
mess with someone who doesn't have the same strength as yours?"
"Does that mean that I'm a weak?",
"Go back to your girl or I'll let this
vampire bite your neck off!" Andrew screamed as hitting a vamp to the ground.
"Hey be careful with your words Drew! I'll put this stick through your chest!"
"OH SHUT UP!", Karlie yelled.
"Andrew, take this shit and you Sex God! Go back to your woman or I'll drain her life
out!" Bekah said as she changed into her
vampire's face
and passed the vampire to Andrew before Greg ran behind the bushes where
Christina was and she was looking at him with a stupid look on her face.
They looked at the fight going on as more and more vampires
appeared. Lissy was trying to fend them off and made them flying across the park with
her powers, which made Christina's jaw on the ground. Ryan, Tilky, Andrew and Bekah
were fighting and dusting their old allies with their demonic and matching
vampire's faces, which made her even clueless and confused about the situation. Clay was
fighting and doing their best not to get hit. Karlie, Lee and Buffy were
jumping in the air, kicking stakes, which landed in the vampire's chest. A few
minutes later, the vampires were dust. Their comrades changed into
their normal visage as Greg and Christina came out of their hide out.
"Buff?" Greg said as she looked up while dusting herself. "Thanks
for helping and saving me and Christina actually."
"No problem babe. You'll the same for me, right?" She
dusted herself and he smiled.
"Hum� can someone explained me what actually happen around here?"
Christina asked as she seemed all confused.
Everyone looked at each other, not knowing what to said nor didn't
know how to explain. Surely they could gave out an excuse, but it was
impossible since she saw everything. Finally, Bekah stepped in and explained.
"Well sorry to break to you sweetheart, but we were fighting
vampires. The immortals who dies if they were exposed into sunlight and
drinks blood to live. We are vampires also," she said as she pointed to
herself, Ryan, Tilky and Andrew, "but we're the good guys. Now Lissy over there," who
gave a smile and a wave, "is a powerful witch who possessed the power to move
things in her will. Not only that, but she could a very keen hearing also. Each
and every day, her powers are growing and hard to managed. But not only that,
your date possed some witch genes in his blood also. Possibly, he could out past
Lissy's magic one day. So
believe it girl, that demons and monsters DOES exist."
Bekah only gave a smile, as the others were looking at her, since
she were saying it in all one breath. They all looked at each other once again
and than turned their attention at Christina. Just before they knew it,
Christina passed out and almost fell on the ground, but Greg caught her in time.
The crew gather around as Greg took off his jacket and putted it under
Christina�s head.
As everyone bowed down to look if she was alright, Buffy took the
opportunity to chat with Greg as she grabbed him by the collar and made him
follow her a few feet away from the others, behind the bushes.
"What? What did I do?", Greg said as they stopped walking.
"You tell me what you're doing here in the park," she said in an
angry tone, "in the middle of the night while there evil creatures lurking
around!"
"I was on date Buffy! A date!"
"Yeah I know that! But you could at least take her to the movies
or dinner or something! I mean you just put your life in danger while walking
around here and especially having an innocent girl with you! God Greg what were
you thinking?!"
"I was on a date! Something that you should do and look�"
"No! You look!", she said as her voice began to get higher, "I mean
if I didn't pass through this park, Christina and yourself would be dead
by now or even end up as a vampire!"
Greg began to get irrated by her tone and lecture about who he should date and where he should be. He was grateful to have her.
Meaning caring for him, but she had draw the line.
"FUCK BUFFY LISTEN TO ME!", Greg yelled in his turn. "It's nice
that you look after me and the others, but will you let myself live my OWN
fucking life for God sake? Just because you don't have a normal fucking life like the
others and myself and that you spend most of your time killing demons and
vampires, you don't need to bitch at me for that! It's not my fucking fault
that you don't have what we and the others have and that you're stuck on killing evil creatures for the
rest of your life!"
