| Our computer lab is open everyday that the center is open. The room is fully equiped with 12 newer Gateway computers with Windows 2000 and Powerlink internet access. The internet connection is supplied by Adelphia Cable through an arragement worked out by City Council Member Richard Fontana. With the donation of 16 older computers, Seneca Babcock was able to add more computers to the lab for word processing, games, and other activites. When this lab is open, you will rarely find it empty. The children are always accessing the internet, doing homework, or playing games on the computers. If the children (or adults) need any assistance whatsoever, Bob Cook, our computer instructor/technician, is more than glad to help. On any given day Bob will be teaching the children how to efficiently search the 'net, download games, create word documents and spreadsheets, create their own webpages, and much more. If you have any questions about the lab or any programs offered in the computer lab, please contact the Seneca Babcock Community Center office. Stop in, we'll even help you set up your own e-mail account! |
